Good question. When did a SoTU response become mandatory? And why have two of them? (One for the Teabaggers, one for the rest of the Republicans.) Either the Teabaggers are a political party, or they aren't...piss, or get off of the pot already!

Meanwhile, it's incredible how prescient Dave Chappelle was.

I just saw this petition at LeftAction. I'm going to reproduce it entirely here, since it truly made me laugh out loud.

Left Action: Ask Dick Cheney: Are You High?

Send a message to Dick Cheney.  Ask him a question:  "Are you high?"

After the disastrous foreign policy record of the Bush-Cheney administration, it takes an unbelievable amount of chutzpah for you to go on the attack against President Obama national security appointments.   And yet, recently, Cheney has done just that:

"The performance now of Barack Obama as he staffs up the national security team for the second term is dismal," Cheney said in comments to about 300 members of the Wyoming Republican Party...  "Frankly, what he has appointed are second-rate people," he said.

This from a man who was co-captain of a team that:
  • Lied us into an unnecessary war
  • Mismanaged that war disastrously
  • Was the top cheerleader for torture

We could go on and on, but anyone who lived through those 8 years knows what a disaster it was.

Anyone, apparently, except for Dick Cheney.  Which raises a question - is Cheney high?  How else to explain the nonsense he's spouting?
