Among all the articles I've been reading about "What's the Problem with Marvel?" (the general meh-ness of the MCU these days), one of the things that comes up quite a bit in the subtext is "What do we do with Kang the Conqueror now that Jonathan Majors is persona non grata?"

Ummm..... recast the character?

The problem is with the actor, not the character of Kang. Just stick some other guy in the role, and don't even bother trying to explain it.

Or just blame it on wibbly wobbly time-y wimey stuff.  I mean, hey, it's worked before!   ;)

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

If I remember my Marvel stuff, Wakanda got all its "stuff" because a meteor loaded with vibranium crashed there way back in the past, spreading Afro-Futurism all over the area.

So for the "What If" series - What If that meteor crashed somewhere else? In the Mayan Empire? The Hopewell Culture of North America? Viking Era Scandinavia?

Discuss.

"What If...?" gave us so many cool "alternative history" stories; even the Disney+ version has given us some gems.

The mainline MCU has already done a bit of what if Vibranium was found somewhere else, since it's majorly responsible for the Atlantis we see in "Wakanda Forever".

IMHO, they lost sight of the football after Endgame and it became obvious that they had no further game plan.  This whole everything based upon different dimensions /timelines/ alternate universe thing wore thin quickly; we saw it but surprise, the Disney brass failed to see it.  On top of that was making the male super heroes like Thor and Hulk seem comical while pushing some DEI agenda just took the enjoyment and suspense out of the equation.

They should have read the comics and stayed with the storylines rather than try to push new agendas that contradict the original stories and characters.  I wouldn't have thought that Disney would do that to Marvel, but they have screwed the pooch on everything else, so I shouldn't be surprised.  I think they only have one movie planned for 2024; that certainly isn't planning ahead.

I actually haven't bought any Marvel movie since Endgame.

What do you think of this channel's plan for bringing the Fantastic Four into the MCU, properly?

I think it's pretty cool.

You aren't missing anything. it is pretty much a directionless mess at this point.

This channel really does good work! Imagine if Spider-Man 3 (2007) had had a post-credits scene featuring Nick Fury bringing Tobey Maguire into the MCU as soon as Iron Man (2008)?...
