The presidential limousine is not built on a car frame but on a GMC/Chevrolet Suburban upgraded frame since it is so heavily armored, and it weighs about 7 tons.

Neat!  A carriage car combination, and it could be the inspiration for the modern day tractor/trailer combo.

Started by twin brothers Francis and Freelan Stanley in 1897, they manufactured an iconic steam powered car that went out of business in 1924 due to internal combustion engine cars going from hand crank starting to electric starter and improving their quality so much that steam powered cars were no longer wanted. I've only seen tem in museums.

This Buick Riviera was considered a large mid-sized car in the day since compared to the HUGE Buick Electra 225, it wasn't so big. It was the sporty Buick of the time and a few years later in 1966, it got bigger, and it became a front wheel drive car like its GM sibling the Oldsmobile Toronado and the Cadillac ElDorado.

Back in 1964, the first James Bond movie I saw was Goldfinger and while James Bond was driving an Aston Martin sportscar, the bad guy Goldfinger was chauffeured in a 1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud which at the time was considered the ultimate luxury car.

This 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, which never went into production, was later on modified into the Batmobile for the mid 60's TV show.

In the 1930's, when Hitler was in charge of Germany, he had Mercedes Benz build many specialty staff cars for transport of diplomats, Generals and Nazi members in charge of government departments and like this Mercedes Benz W31 type G4, Hitler's own staff car, you'll notice it has two rear axels.

Back in the 60's and 70's, Chrysler had a high-performance cars subdivision called Mopar and that is what they also called many of the parts for them. They were mostly on Dodge and Plymouth cars. I remember as a k1d and young man loving to read on them in Motor Trend magazine.
