This particular 1935 Duesenberg SSJ convertible was owned by Hollywood legend Gary Cooper. The term, "It's a Doocy" is derived from this car brand which was destroyed by the Great Depression.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that term spelled like that. I’ve seen Duesy & Doozy.  And, I think this is the 12th time I’ve seen you point out where that saying came from, sol.   just saying.  My 0.02 cents (sorry, couldn’t resist)

From 1965 through 1973, the most common Police car was the Dodge Polara with a MOPAR 440 cubic inch Magnum engine, and they were all over the USA and Canada. I got my driver license in 1972 in Houston and this car was the one so common then.

The biggest standard car engine of my life was the 500 cubic inch or 8.2-liter engine in the Cadillac Eldorado with 400 horsepower which made it a true monster engine for the era back in the 70's. that was back in 1970, and then they started to put smog crap and by 1976 it only had 275 horsepower.
