I know.  :( How it will work it's still up in the air. I spent my 20 year Naval career in submarines and even in the largest boats I served, an Ohio class ballistic missile submarine, there is very little privacy and how they can maintain a strict fraternization policy is a mystery to me. Sweden was the first country to mix the crews but their submarines only go out for a few weeks at a time and mostly stay in the Baltic and North seas. I was in the USS Puffer ( SSN-652 ) back in 1982 and we were away from homeport for 10 months roaming the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, the Red Sea and the Artic Ocean and at one time we were 122 days under the water without visiting a port chasing a Russian boat and other " research " endeavors and we were batty by then until we pulled into Yokosuka, Japan and got wasted. How we could have done it with women onboard and not have problems with mostly a young crew competing for the affection of a lady is something I can't imagine.

I was watching  SmarterEveryDay YouTube channel where he (Destin) goes onboard The USS Toledo.  They talk about women on subs in this video.  Very interesting - worth a watch.
