BEA Forum Morph Contest: June 2015 (AND THE WINNER IS...)
« on: June 01, 2015, 09:52:45 AM »
Alright everyone, it's time for the the second monthly BEA Forum Morph Contest!

Since he was the winner of last month's contest, this months theme was chosen by Captain Nemo.  The theme he chose was "The Great Outdoors."

It's summertime. A time to go out and take in the fresh air and enjoy the natural beauty of our surroundings.  However, improving the view just a bit certainly wouldn't be discouraged. ;)

The rules are the same as last time:

  • The contest will stay open until the 18th and the poll will open on the 19th.  Late submissions may be considered as long as they are posted before I create the poll.
  • You can make multiple submissions, but keep in mind that they will be entered separately.
  • The winner will be announced on the 25th

I think that's it.  If there are any questions, feel free to ask.  I look forward to seeing all of the new entries roll in.

Have fun, go big, and let the games begin!

One thing - if possible can you also include the contest theme in the thread title, mostly to aid in searches later?

I had thought about it, but the title is already kind of long.  :-\  If you ever need to find a contest thread though, there will be a link to all of the old contests in the trophy case thread (pinned in the GD). Also, a link to the current contest will always be posted in my signature below. I hope that helps.  :)

If my memory serves me right, CarlTl did his contests in the morph section of the forum and it used to be at the top of the page where it was relatively easy to find. Could you have these contest at the top of the page so it would be easy to find ? What happens is that prolific guys like tdotter and Salem can post so many entries into so many different threads that they push some threads that are popular like Beshine's and Chelsea's to the 3rd page. Since I don't advocate them being told to stop posting so much, perhaps this thread could be allowed to be at the top by the moderators. My $0.02.

That's actually a topic the mods and I talked about for a while.  When we made the announcement thread before the contests started, we decided to pin it to the top, thinking it would make it easier to see. However, people apparently just skimmed over it: only getting 18 views in 2 days.  Then, after deciding to unpin it and let it "bounce" in the sea of other threads, the view count skyrocketed. This made us think that it's more likely to get noticed if left unpinned.  Now that people know to look for it though, we may start pinning the thread to the top of the page next time around.

Great (as in huge)? Check. Outdoors? Check. Well here's my entry for this months contest. Good thing she is outdoors, I don't think she'd be able to get through doors that were indoors. ^_^'
