Artists can enter as many morphs as they want, but each additional morph an artist enters is potentially stealing votes from his other morphs, so most people seem to hold it down to 3 or fewer.

You know Nemo, with all of these awesome morphs, you should go over the the morphs thread and start a new thread on selfie morphs.  As popular as they where here, I'm sure that thread would take off.

I feel a need to correct a couple of misconceptions in the last two posts.

The number of admissions is limited, namely, to three per morpher.  Of course that's not written in stone and can always be newly discussed, but that's been the rule since the August contest.

There is no "morphs thread", or morphs forum.  That's a persistent misunderstanding, encouraged by a couple of months during which the Morph Requests Forum was renamed Morphs.  The mods changed it back to Morph Requests precisely because people started considering morph posts as restricted to the "Morphs Forum", which has never been the case here.  Morphs can be posted anywhere, the General Forum being the most logical place. Nemo or anyone else would of course be welcome to start a selfie morphs thread, but unless it's specifically couched in terms like "if you want a selfie morphed, post it here", it is more appropriate in the GD Forum than in Morph Requests.

I agree completely with the good Professor's points and want to reiterate: a thread containing morphs (be they of selfies, or a particular subject, etc...) would usually rightly belong in the General Forum, since BE via morphing is a huge part of what this entire forum is all about. The MR (Morph Request) forum is intended for morph requests... where users post unmorphed images that they'd like to have morphed.

Sorry, my bad on that last comment.    I guess I just think of the GD forum as more for discussions and model based threads, while most morph material ends up in the requests page.
