If you still haven't seen The Batman this probably will contain some slight spoilers since it's referring to the current version of the Batmobile.

Sorry, but THIS is the BEST take on The Batman:

The ground is deep with fallen leaves and nuts of White and Red Oak, and of Beech, that line and fill the footprints and the ruts which all along the wooded pathway reach. First claim, of course, to chipmunk and to squirrel for bleak mid-Winter sustenance belongs, as all around old leaves descend and twirl about, through feathered autumn songs.

You can say whatever you want about him as a person, but as an actor and sometime stunt performer, Tom Cruise is really, really good and is always willing to go the extra mile for his job.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011): BTS of the Burj Khalifa stunt and the end result

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015): BTS of the Airbus stunt and the end result

Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018): BTS of the HALO jump stunt and the end result

Can't wait to see what madness he comes up with for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (currently set for release on 14 July 2023), and for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two (currently set for release on 28 June 2024).

Well, Tom Cruise's sequel to Top Gun, Top Gun Maverick, will finally hit theaters this May 27 after a three year delay.  :P

I'm more geeked for the Mission: Impossible sequels than for the Top Gun sequel.

3 May 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Spider-Man, directed by Sam Raimi.

This week Raimi's latest movie, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, will be released also.

The famous trailer that Sony eventually pulled due to...well, you know.

I might have to do some traveling to get to an IMAX theatre next year but it will be worth it.

Marvel has really been turning me off with the last half dozen or so movies and TV series they've done, but I may try "Thor - Love And Thunder".

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

I saw Top Gun Maverick and I enjoyed it a lot. It is set about 30 years after the original and there are a lot of similar and familiar characters and the storyline is essentially a continuity of the 1986 Top Gun movie. One thing that I enjoyed was that they used real, honest to God, aircraft from the present inventory like the F-18 super Hornet that the Navy and Marine Corps use presently to do the stunt work. Not much CGI in the movie. It was better than I expected.  :) Today, I'll be going to see that Burt Reynolds classic, the 45th anniversary of Smokey and the Bandit at the theater. That was such a fun movie. Most of the main character are dead now. By the way, it is free since I used my points to get the ticket.  :)

There were quite a few practical effects in the movie. Like him or not, Tom Cruise definitely delivers.

This was a good one!

IGN, May 2022: " US Navy Fighter Pilot Reacts To Top Gun"
Watch as a real life fighter pilot reacts to Top Gun! We got Ex-US Navy Fighter Pilot and Aviator Instructor, Alex Bowman, to look at these iconic Top Gun flight scenes and break down these Top Gun clips, as he shares his expert Top Gun pilot reaction.

Just how realistic are the
Top Gun combat scenes and Top Gun fights? Join us as we see a fighter pilot watches Top Gun and explains how realistic in the 1980s movie really is. From buzzing the tower to Maverick's and Goose's constant radio air chatter, to avoiding missiles while flying the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, Alex tells us if these movie scenes would fly in real life Top Gun. I feel the need—the need for speed!

Saw the latest Jurassic Park/World iteration and it was a good movie. It is 2 1/2 hours long and of course the CGI was very well done. The storyline is similar to the prior ones, a cautionary tale of messing around with the genetic code. I recommend you see it at the theater in IMAX, if you can afford it, since this movie is very much a special effects driven one.  :)
