time to think...
« on: January 05, 2006, 11:27:03 PM »
sorry to say i'm taking a sabbatical from morphing any pics except actual model requests, or **28** until i can figure out whats up with legal issues.

i am NOT closing up shop. i'm just confused

frankly i'm concerned now that i have been naive about coopting copywrited material under a fair use argument. i'm confused about this and want some time to think it over. thanks for all your kind comments.

Girls, please feel free to continue sending me your personal pics, and **29** morphs are ok, because that truly is parody. but actual porn and cheesecake(like SBB) i am swearing off for now.

This saddens me greatly Stretch, but in the end it may do us all good, for if you were sued by any means it may have been the end permantenly. Glad your still here and doing great morphs and good luck thinking.  I have been admiring your work for quite a while now, the improvements are there but the notciable changes always come in after you dont morph for a while. Let us all be hopeful and let this be one of those times(love your stuff). Sorry bout the confusion. (WE LOVE YOUR WORK MAN)

I am saddened by your decision but I can understand the reasons.

I get many of my pictures from the Southern Charms site now....these are amateurs for the most part and the quality is usually pretty good.

In the past I used to get lots of material from the TopHeavy site and after a few times of being reprimanded for using what I was told were "**19**" pictures I quit using the "amateurs" section pictures there and stuck with just the TopHeavy regulars like Busty Lou and Isis to name a few.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not bitching about the reprimands...the BEA with the Mods help has to protect itself.

What I do now is contact the models directly on Southern Charms and upload the morphs to them for their comments and most of the time their approval (Busty Tina, Becky etc.). Only one woman over there disapproved and....well that's the way it goes.

We, as morphers, and of course everyone else, just have to find the way that suits us best to share our appreciation of breasts.....real or imagined (morphed)!

Seems like a sensible enough idea, blackshoe. Contact and confirm, everybody's doing it!

As a long time member of this community I have neither seen nor heard of any artist enter in a legal dispute (save one, involving Kayla Kleevage and it had nothing to do with the BEA).  That is not to say that you should continue with business as usual. Think about what Chronic wrote, then arm yourself with knowledge. Consider what you are comfortable with and how that works into what you enjoy doing. You are no more at risk than you were just because a peer said so.

Yeah, I'm no lawyer, but I can't imagine any circumstance where doing a morph on a photo would get you into any sort of copyright infringement trouble.  The person who goes after you for that would have to have  a LOT of time on their hands.

The only person I've ever heard of threatening legal action for the posting and or uploading of her pictures was Subgirlie. I had many pictures of her on my old computer system from her stay over at TopHeavy.com, but when the hard drive died those pictures were history.

It was not because of her comments etc., that I pulled whatever morphs of her from my galleries, but because I respect her as a person who I have the good fortune of being able to correspond with after her departure from the Top Heavy site.

This site has to protect itself and even if I disagree with some of the prohibited places we can obtain pictures, I will not knowingly violate the rules.

As I have stated previously there are oh so many beautiful women we can see and in my case morph. Why put this site or yourself in a negative situation?
