Sorry I didn't answer when you asked this before. I think, just like last time, someone answered as I would. DruulEmpire has it right in this thread.

In my case, I chose my avatar for the following reasons...

1. I considered a photo of myself and decided most(all?) viewers would prefer a busty woman instead. (no ego problem HERE!)
2. This particular character (Kenji) is a personal favorite of mine.
3. The original drawing was scanned, colored and nudified by me ..AND..
4. Was, IHMO, my best work up to that point and illustrated what I can and like to do.
5. I feel an avatar needs to be simple enough to be easily identified despite it's small size. By removing the background from the original drawing, I liked how well this image looked given the pixels (125x125).
6. (I keep thinking of more) In the religious and gaming definitions of the word "Avatar", it means (in simple terms) someone who REPRESENTS you (NOT who LOOKS like you). I prefer to think of "Kenji" as a separate individual who "fronts" for me (in a manner of speaking). For the purposes of the party, you could have her there without me physically present, but seeing and hearing what she sees and hears (she could speak on my behalf, too). ..OR I could be present at the party, but always out of sight from the viewpoint of the reader of the comic strip (..or invisible and next to Kenji who is the only one who can hear and see me). (Hope this helps more then it confuses)

Notice, too, that in my signature is my disclaimer that I could never be confused for my avatar. I added that when I, RandomX, and others were playing "musical avatars" with each other.

P.S. I can send you other images of Kenji to have a selection of poses if you like.

For example...

Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.

Kithara says "thanks" to TheHerald and I too agree that an avatar need not be that person. We are not a purple robot or lavender bunny, but they have an aspect of each of us.
Great ideas for your character! Kithara does not want anyone to get defensive about the image they have chosen for whatever reasons. She has already  begun to work up some novel ways to work some of the more overt avatars into the K C Strip.
What she wants the guys to know is that if they have a female avatar, they will be a female in the strip.
She wants to express her thanks for your insights.

So that many of you do not worry, Kithara has worked up the next dozen or so and I need only get  my pen up to speed. Keep checking in to see how the party goes.

Do not worry Herald you are already "in the mix" in a way that that should bring a smile. Others that have made the "script" include Max Bigfoot, DruulEmpire, Lightfoot, many more BEA Princesses, and even Galvatron!
Home Vintner, HarbleWom, and Tndvrs have some special strips for them.

If there are any others out there who wish to be included, let us know and Kithara and I will work to get your in. (You can PM us if need be) Thanks all!

<shudder>   Beware of fuzzy lavendar rabbits (and purple robots) who have "near total control" of your avatar!

..and heralds who have Photoshop, too.
Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.

(Original message has been removed by Nimrod)

Good News everyone!
Kithara and The Herald have a much better understanding There was never anything malicious and things were just unexpected. It always takes some "conversation" and "thinking time" when this stuff comes from out of the blue.

Even better news!
Kithara has come out of this even more motivated about K C Strip and went of a bit of a bunny writing frenzy last night. She brain stormed for several hours and has sketched up at least the next dozen strips plus another fifteen were outlined beyond that! Yes, she actually drew little thumbnails I have got my work cut out for me now!!

She wants everyone to "play nice" and always let her know if you want to participate in the Strip and she will try work you in. She is a big girl   and can take a good joke or two - just take a second to see it from a sensitive female lavender buxom bunny's point of view. I do not want to stifle anyone who wants to create “fan art” or suggestions for their avatar and Kithara really loves the feedback no matter what form it takes. So keep posting!

She can take a lot, however she is sensitive about her large chest and has worked to build up her self-image. That is one of the reasons she is here at the BEA Forum - all of you have been sympathetic and complimentary. K C Strip is just her way of thanking people. Having “near total control [in the strip]”, to quote The Herald, provides her an environment where she can measure out the amount of “exposure” she feels comfortable with as she builds greater confidence.

I know that The Herald only had the best intentions and it was just a misfire. So do not start hassling him about what he had intended as a compliment! Keep those comments coming, Kithara needs them more than ever.

Kithara also says," I still have plans for Herald."

She still wants everyone to see the image below...

"What, behind the rabbit?"

If anyone wants a list of who is now set to appear in K C Strip, ask for it here in the thread. Also, just because you have appeared already does not mean you will not again. Many of you are in line for another cameo.

While I will go so far as to say that The Herald has always impressed me as a decent fellow, and that an occasional overexuberance can get pretty much ANYONE in trouble, it remains absolutely true that Kithara deserves any and all courtesies that are due her.  It becomes too easy in the e-world to assume too much about someone else, and a decent period of good old-fashioned conversation would have been in order before Heraldo went ahead with his picture, and in that there is a lesson for us all.  I hope Kithara knows that she is greatly prized, and that I personally have appreciated her warmth, wit, and most becoming modesty in her strip and in her PMs.  She has earned as much time as she requires to sort out her feelings, and I look forward to her eventual return.

I would say that, judging from that picture that Kithara is the BEA "Best Bunny", hands down.
