Well, as I am no longer sitting with my finger on the 'record' button of the remote anymore, you can tell that I've pretty much abandoned hope of ever seeing this commercial again, let alone of taping it for later capture. No doubt I probably enhanced the boobiliciousness of the spot in my mind's eye... but what I recall is more a matter of how much I liked what I saw, not of what I saw itself (if you take my meaning). All told I only saw the commercial 2 or 3 times at most (should have put in the cap tape right after the first screening) and since commercials (especially lower budget, locally-sponsored ones) often run endlessly for weeks and often months, I can only assume that this one (which DID end with the text "to be continued" implying a part 2 was to come) WAS pulled from circulation. Given the fairly explicit nature of it's content (in light of usual midday fare) I can only assume (not wearing my conspiracy theorist hat at the moment, really) that it's early demise DID have something to do with the quanTITy of breast-flesh spilling out of the side of the left-hand brunette's bikini cups.

I'm reminded of a series of commercials I saw some couple of years back, for a place called "Rally's."  I'd never heard of it before, but the animated ads featured a hot, bouncy lady (drawn in a Peter Chung style, he may very well have done these commercials) named Holly driving around in a hot-rod style car eating burgers.  They had a few different spots of this type, though usually only shown with local programming during a specific timeslot (usually near midnight).  It was relatively easy to catch once I'd figured out the pattern, but these ads were *never* aired at any other time, and after only 3 different versions, they seemed to stop showing them (Holly also seemed to get much less bouncier and had less focus on her chest as they went on).  Did anyone else see these ads?

I saw a couple of 'em, including the one where the girl stops at a traffic light, and a trucker pulls up next to her, looks down at her and at her sandwich and asks her "so you like 'em big?"

Don't believe I ever caught it on vcr, if I did I lost most of my tapes in July flooding. I did salvage some tapes, maybe I'll take a look sometime . . .

Never saw those spots. The food at Rally's is pretty upsetting, even by fast food standards. JMHO.

Yes, I was born in NYC and lived there for my first 25 years (didn't think I could ever imagine living anyplace else of course, but that was just the folly of youth) so I have eaten at White Castle many times. While I fully acknowledge the slight feeling of nausea that I experience after eating there most times, I must say that that feeling usually follows most fast-food meals regardless of their source (with the exception of In-n-Out Burger here in CA, after which I feel full and guilty but not usually ill). I prefer White Castle shakes to those from McDonalds (which I only order maybe once or twice a year) but of course the WC shakes are so thick you could easily pop a blood vessel in your eye trying to suck on the straw. WC fries are unremarkable as are the onion rings (both are generic food-service items that are usually greasy like those at Nathans) but I do like those little square burgers at WC. Interestingly, you can buy the burgers frozen (bun and all) at supermarkets here in CA, and they taste pretty close to those from WC stores in Queens or the Bronx, but I rarely do so due to the fat content (if I'm going to eat THAT much saturated fat, I'd rather do so at In-n-Out or an indulgent meal at a good restaurant). As you might be able to gather, I LUV to eat just about everything and I consider fast-food to be a valid culinary genre (also one that's American in origin). Though there's lots to despise in fast-food (including the behavior of the corporations that provide it) and though it is responsible in part for some societal issues, it can still taste good (hence it's danger). I'm just finishing "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser BTW.... it is an AMAZINGLY interesting and entertaining book that sheds light on so many things. I strongly recommend it to ALL.

BTW (and back on topic) yesterday around 2:45 pm on the local Fox affiliate here in LA (ch 11) I was surprised to see part one of the Insurance Catfight Commercial again. Part 1 doesn't include the open blouses which must be in part 2 (I've never seen part 3 or more yet). Part 2 is the one that I originally posted about. The commercials are by Survival Insurance (though not included on their website, and part 1 and 2 of this one don't yet include their familiar pitchman). I mention this only because if anyone else is in the area, and watching Judge Hatchett or Cops or whatever, you might want to keep a blank tape in the VCR.

After weeks of no sign, the part 2 of the Survival Insurance Catfight commerical aired... of course I didn't have a tape in the VCR at the time. Almost as juicy as I remembered it. I'll put a tape back in the VCR of course, and hope for another chance. If anyone local is doing the same, the commercial aired on channel 13 in LA (UPN) during the lunchtime broadcast of COPS between 11:30 and noon.

Exactly! I even went so far as to check survival's website, where they have a couple dozen of their commercials online in QT format, but still sadly not this one. Again, I don't want to over-emphasize it or anything (so as to avoid an anti-climax if and when I ever do manage to post a still) ...girls in too-small bikini tops are common on TV... there's probably more breast flesh exposed on Fear Factor at least a couple times a month. However, this one just seemed very appealing to me... a little triangle of material attempting to cover a nicely-sized pillowy expanse of boob, and a side view too!

As much as you have talked about this commercial, it has CERTAINLY got my attention! Maybe I'll get the chance to see it one day.

Not to beat a dead horse, but regular exposure to OTHER Survival Insurance commercials on an all-too-regular basis keeps the memory of their parody of the Miller Catfight commercial fresh in my mind. It's funny how things breast-related stick with you... the brunette on the beach in Private Resort, the newsanchor in IQ85, etc... (to borrow two personal examples recently posted in other threads) ...guess I DO have a one-track mind!

Anyway, I popped back over to the Survival Insurance website: http://www.survivalinsurance.com/index.jsp and clicked the link at the bottom right for "Games/Media" and then the link at the top left for "Survival Commercials." Though they SAY that they've archived the 'entire collection' I do not see the catfight commercial(s) there... perhaps they received some negative feedback on them or something. Anyway, I just thought that I'd update my quest a bit (albeit minor, it's still a quest of sorts) and provide the link in case anyone else is intrigued enough to check in on their 'archive' once in a while (if you'd seen the flesh spilling out of the side of that bikini cup, you'd be on the same quest too... believe me!).

PS: I don't recall doing so previously, but I did send an inquiring email to their site asking (as innocently as possible, and in the least lecherous way) about the catfight commercials. I doubt that they'll reply, but if they do I'll post here.
