Going insane isn't as fun as it used to be..

Hating friends out of jealousy of their lifestyle.

Pretending to really care about other people's problems.

Smiling when you don't want to.

No alone time.

No focus or direction.

No cash, optimism.

I can't explain why as every day goes by I dislike people more and more. Am I that stuck-up or am I just meeting the wrong people? And if it's the wrong people why have I been meeting them year after year?

There ya go folks, a sample of me in real life. And yes, I'm as sober as I can be right now.

I just feel like venting.

Sadly I am still holding back 85% of how I really feel.

I don't think it's healthy for me to speak my mind. It hurts when I do.

Ugh.

Thank god for boobs.

A)  Everyone else's life always seems more glamourous ... shoot even the homeless guy who wakes me up at 6 am every morning by collecting the unrecycled cans, seems to get more busty babe-age than me ...

B)  Everyone else also has the world's biggest problems (like they've split a nail), which makes your years spent in chemo pail in comparison.

C)  There's always a party and you're not invited.

-Munch "No, I've never had chemo, it's an example, yes there is a homeless guy who wakes me every morning, no I have not seen him with any babes ... and the party?  It's in my pants, and the world is invited" Wolf

Things are weird. For years and years I totally loathed myself to the point where it was dangerous.

And now instead of loathing myself I can't stand other people.

The inner gremlins are kicking my ass right now.

As a general rule of thumb, other people suck

Don't worry guys. With time and age the memory begins fade and you won't even remember those things about people you can't stand.  People don't mellow with age, they just fade away and become unimportant.  Geez, I quess people really do piss me off.

Bypass- No chemo either, do surgery and radiation count? -Catch22

Sanity is ignorance   (decides against prolonged rant)

Be glad you have a place to vent where your thoughts and feelings are considered (not necessarily respected, but considered   ). I, for one have found my "center" in the BE community, and for that the real world is less likely to suffer. I'd offer an ice cold one to you guys, but at 56k, it'd be quicker for me to drive there.

HTML enabled? Cool.  (been awhile; just reregistered) You could get your ass in gear.  Eliminating sympathy as a vector quanitity eliminates its antithesis.  Form follows function.  The source of a sentiment is clear and alterable to a lucid mind.  If you prematurely uncover the agenda your psyche was forged to serve, you can bury it again with expiration-dated directions.  That could save you some sound and fury.  You can cherish your disrespect when you know how much more destructive sympathy would be.  If your motivation is ulterior, the ends put the means in blessed perspective.

BJC - Yeah. I don't know about blessed perspective though; deconstructing The Bitch only reveals the impossibility of effective subversion. Fatalism is a pleasant rest, but intellectual flatlining just makes the **61** fidget.

I'm sure things have changed considerably for you Pac in the thirteen years since you made this post, but I stumbled across it and was prompted to admit that lately I feel as though my days as Finn the Human Boy are over and my stint as The Ice King is well underway. And there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.

Yeah Pac, would love to hear an update.  Maybe some of those friends you were jealous of got knocked down by the 2008 economy?  No matter what, you have a wife with bigger tits than they have!   ;D

I always take comfort in Mark Twain's observation about his own feelings: "Every life, viewed from the inside, is a succession of failures leading to death."
Someday, chi1dren, this entire fuck-up will be yours.
