She's not the same shape that she was before. She gained a few pounds and now has a more voluptuous build. She's still far from chubby and personally, I like this shape even better.

To be honest, I don't really like Jennifer Love Hewitt that much anymore. Sure she's still cute, but I just can't respect anyone who wants to marry "Ross McCall".
Her new found role as "champion of female body image issues" has also been quite a turn off. Not that I think she looked so bad in her bikini, it's just that I found her outlash about it to be highly hypocritical. Instead of simply admiting that she gained some weight, she tried to make it seem like everyone else was crazy. She even implies that she wears a size 2 and it was angles that made her look bad. At the end of her litte tirade, she says "to all those girls with boobs and butts, put on a bikini..." YET every single photo of JLH after that, she wears big old baggy clothes to hide her hips and draw attention to her boobs. Apperaently she's not as confident about her body as she let on. What was more disgusting was that the press ate this up and made her some sort of martyr.

She's no martyr, she's just some hot chick who likes her Chocodiles™. Perhaps a little to much so. On the upside, in recent photos she seems to be losing a bit of that weight.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is no longer my obvious favorite. I don't know who my favorite is now. Maybe its Natalie Portman, or Emmy Rossum, maybe Anne Hathaway, Lacey Chabert, maybe it Emmanuelle Chriqui or Britney Spears? It's good company, but unless JLH gets her act together, she'll remain demoted.

First of all, I mentally pictured JLH wolfing down a box of Chocodiles, and it made me smile a little bit.  Kind of a turn on too.  I'm not sure what that says about me.

Anyway, the main reason I'm responding is Anne Hathaway.  I love her, but I do think something needs to change with her.  She needs to gain about 10-20 lbs to make her as hot as she was a couple of years ago.  Angelina Jolie in Wanted has the same problem.  She's just too damn thin.

There's a million things to say about this, my lord Galvatron, but in its basic simplicity, we must realize that, yes, Jennifer Love Hewitt's body image is more fragile than we ever imagined. That is why her sexiest roles have also been the most uncomfortable for her, e.g., COASSC, IKWYDLS & sequel, and, of course, Heartbreakers.

My current theory holds that our dear Love never got over her dad leaving her life at such a young age. That lack of reinforcement and love by a strong male role model probably caused her flightiness in her early relationships, and her clinging to Ross McCall. Mind you, I'm not a psychologist by any stretch of the imagination, but I understand what it's like to be raised WITHOUT a strong male role model in the guise of my father. He was there, to be sure, but not consistent in discipline, punishment, and supporting my mother. As an aside, my parents are currently in the middle of a divorce, after 2+ decades of marriage.

I have no doubt that Jennifer understands the principles of making the press work for you. She got caught in an unflattering outfit, and was appropriately outraged, because AFAIK, she has a very good relationship with her paparazzi, and probably has a tacit agreement with them not to take "horrible" pictures of her. If that was the case, then it's entirely understandable the tack she would take as a result of the release of these photos, especially around the time of her engagement to the McCall.

Whatever the press did with the situation after it hit the newswires was pretty much out of Love's control—not that she didn't make a fuss knowing full well that she would be eagerly defended by her devoted fans, and that her wholesome image would carry the day. We also can't leave out the thought that "All publicity is good publicity." Jennifer has a show that needs extra attention given its Friday 8PM timeslot, and there can be no better publicity than advertising yourself on national news programs everywhere—for free.

Weight or non, Jennifer is proving herself to be quite normal, and given to all the normal woes and ills of any other normal person. Sure, it knocks her a few pegs down on the "perfect" scale, but it doesn't make me love her any less.

We have such high standards for our **28**; God forbid they don't live up to them. *sarcasm*
