Akio did mention something short and vague about it in a Yahoo club, he said that "it was time to burn the house down".

As far as I know, he hasn't said anything about recreating the Mansion somewhere else.  I can only guess but maybe he just wanted to retire the site.

If he wanted space for the JDII comic, I'd give it to him.

That really sucks.  I'd only got chapter 1 of 'Jungle De Ikou' and was looking forward to seeing the next, if it had come out.  I too would like to know what caused this meltdown, as AFAIK his work was being greeted with great acclaim.  Oh well, another incomplete series to sit on the hd...

Yeah The Hearld I agree. Unfortunatly almost all the e-mails I have sent out to Akio and a few other peoples who still have free memberships here and either no galleries or no updates for over 6-9 months have bounced back to me.

This leaves me little recourse but to move their galleries to repose if they still have a gallery and disable memberships. Hopefully they still visit and will be irate enough to mail me when they can't get into the members section...THEN we can work on getting galleries back online.

I do hope that Akio and the others are Ok.

Hi everybody I'm a newbie to the forum but not to the site. I was curious why Akio's old Mansion of Midnight Eyes never seemed completely finished and tanked awhile back. If anyone has any info on why he never finished his Jungle De Iko 2 fan fic that would be cool too. Also I'm looking for any of his old art and his Goddess 69 or 99 stories. Sorry I don't have time to do it for you, but try the search feature at the top of the Forum and you will find previous threads talking about Akio (short answer, I think, is we don't know; but check it out).
 He left us a very long time ago (about 1998-99?).
