apples and oranges, photograph and pencil drawings, poser and 3DSMax. Someone once ask "which religion is the right one?" and the wise man said whatever the one that brings the best out of you. As much as I dont care for poser, and seeing the way of your best coming out from 3DSMax. I would have to say that I am seeing the better out of the poser. Yes, I think poser is limiting for my taste, but I have seen the best come from the user on the BEA forum and that alone counts for good talents. Sometimes real talents can come from a pencil drawing that far exceed the expensive oil painting. Who are you to judge who is an artist, and who is not? I think a real artist recognize the artist in all of us, and its a shame that your insight blind you to the joy of celebrating each of these artist best effort. It's a shame because if you do great work someday, who will be there to celebrate you? No-one because you already judge them to be not worthy to your standard. Look with your heart, imagine the joy they felt when they created that masterpeice that they thought was worthy to share, and imagine the time they spent trying to get it right, isn't that enough to take in the pleasure that someone post their work for you to see? Isn't that enough for you to see that what you say about it deserve the same care that they took to create it. There will always be someone way more talented then you, so do you think its logical to dwell on who your better than with 3D chick with huge tits? is your happiness riding on that outlook? So what if poser is too easy to use? I have seen some really talented artist that will sit at the restuarant and fill out the children drawing with crayons. Mind you they are professional artist selling their works at gallery, and yet they still can draw with crayons and its not beneath them to do so.
I am not trying to shame anyone, but maybe shed a little light on what really matters, and see how silly this is ending. I have been doing the 3D cross eye picture and I have been here for almost 3 years? and I beleive I have yet to see any praises on my effort, but I dont care. I love doing what I do. I think I got one praises on Anna Paquin, but not on the 3D effect. I put alot into each one, and spend way more time than I had done with just photoshop. So I can imagine what it feel like if someone told me that I wasn't an artist.
