Well that would make sense since saline is simply water with sodium dissolved in it and water doesn't really compress particularly well.  Silicon is often used, in a stiffer form than that used for implants, in running shoes as heel and forefoot cushioning since it compresses slightly (and the gel like nature of the material).

speaking of sakura and her implants, she probably wants to opt for silicone since that option was not available to her when she had her augmentation here in the USA (if i remember correctly she had her breasts done in miami), where its is my understanding that silicone implants are much harder to get and have inserted.  she might just want to consider going to europe for her next pair.

Thanks ZaDocTor!

This also makes sense since I have previously read Sakura talking about an operation is Europe. So it is probably silicone she's aiming for.

And while you're getting new implants, why not go a bit bigger in the process, too...

I thought the way to get softer implants was to not overfill them.

MrHHH: yeah, but in general - I think - silicone implants are softer and result in a more natural look than saline implants. (Which, if you like big round fake tits, like Sakura's, isn't such a good thing.) They won't slosh either

i dont think saline sloshes either.  there is a negligible amount of air in an implant.  do you mean that silicone is just more coagulated than water so it doesnt move as much; pretty much only when forced (ie squeezed)?

As far as I know, yes. It isn't as 'liquid' as saline, which actually is just salty water (well, you knew that). You are right about the sloshing, it was rather meant as a joke. Or, who knows? Saline implants *might* slosh in some cases. I think we should give the mike to Melonie...

In reply to:

Saline implants *might* slosh in some cases.

I think I've read a news report about that happening on high altitudes where the air pressure i less, such as on a mountain or on an airplane with low cabin pressure. It only happens if rare cases when the saline solution in the implant has an unusually high amount of dissolved gasses in it. (Maybe the gasses are normally vacuumed out of the solution before using it to fill implants?) Anyway, if there are dissolved gasses in the solution it is possible that a few bubbles of gass form in the implant when the pressure on the implant is lowered, and if you shake such an implant with gass bubbles and saline solution it might slosh a little. The bubbles will dissolve into the liquid when the pressure is increased again.

Now I have a question, Now if the cabin pressure was lowered on an airplane. Would, the saline breast implant expand if it had dissolved gasses in it. And, if it expanded, would it rupture on a overfilled implant or a underfilled implant. Does it, happen on Saline implants or Silicone implants. Would you notice the breast expanding when the cabin pressure is lowered if it does expand. And, would the implant pop just like that without notice, if the breast implant expanded too large for the implant shell or outerskin of the implant? I wonder, what would happen if somebody had breast implants and decided to travel out into space, on the Space Shuttle Discovery, or Atlantis. What, would happen?

the amount of dissolved gases in a surgial breast implant are probably negligible.  i would like to think the good people at dow-corning would have taken that into consideration.  if pressure did drop outside the body, as we are hypothesizing, not to get too gruesome, but the subject would probably die of hemmoraging before her breasts exploding all over the place.

According to [http://www.nap.edu/books/0309065933/html/]the official FDA study[/url] first generation saline implants did slosh. That hasn't been a widespread issue for years however.

I would think that the dissolved gas in saline would be negligable.  The best way of removing dissolved gas (though this is usually for resins and plastics due to their viscosity) is to heat the substance up, not so much that it boils, just enough to get the gasses to leak out.

This, is what I found on sakuras' website.
Just like Christine Allure, Sakura needs your help also!!!

Do You Like Nice Boobs?
Alot of you you do and so do I. These boobs that I got were put in May 1999 and these were to be temporary.

At that time there was a "monster chick" boom in the Adult Entertainment world and as a I planned to have 3000 cc implants made. Yet, the surgeon at the time decided that for the time being, to overfill 800 cc implants with 1000 cc of saline and was schedualed to have larger implants done 4 months afterwards. I decided to wait. Now, 3 years have passed and I have been informed that I should replace these with softer implants. The reason? My boobs should be much more softer. These overfilled implants just don't do it for me anymore. Of course, the goal to have freaky tits that I wanted before is out. Today, I would like to replace these ones with softer, big and playful boobies. If you can please consider making a contribution to help me get better boobies, I would really appreciate it.

Actually, I like Sakura's current look very much and 3000 cc's on her would probably look... Words can't describe it! But it's her body and her decision.

(I just hope she goes a bit bigger in the process... )
