Not necessarily, Goldie. The opening credits show footage from a strange loop of film mixing shots of atomic testing with sneak peeks of Jen canoodling with John Malkovich, of all people. It sets up the general idea that Jen's character is, shall we say, "available." Later we see nice long flashbacks of her having something going on with Nick Nolte, but it's just not quite the same.
It's a strange movie all around, sort of Chinatown Meets the Atomic Energy Commission.
