I have to say, the more I think about it the more bogus it sounds. I hope I am right.  He went out to run off drug dealers? Wouldn't a call to the police be safer?  He was hit by a stray bullet?  So he went out to run them off, and a gun battle erupted, coincidentally striking him?  Stray bullet shootings make the news.  No sign of it? No follow up by his "friend?"  It is not adding up, and I hope I am right that this is a hoax.

Although the tendancy appears to be for members to keep their faith private and to themselves around here (ref: Goober in Site Issues Forum)

Please allow this "fundy" to say that my prayers will include Jim's family, and his noble friend Marc who selflessly took the time to consider all Jim's fiends (known and unknown) out here in the cyberworld as well.

God bless you Marc, God rest your soul Jim, and God heal the pain felt by all Jim's family and friends.

Bonecracker.

Found the article of the three people who were shot, but are ok..

In other news, Thursday, a man was shot in front of a community center.  He had a felony, so there is extra newsage on him.

This is not an attempt to trivialize this event, but just to point out how difficult it is to find information on a regular occurance when there is too little information to begin with.

Anyone interested in doing there own search, may want to start here

I will look more later

It is a bigger story when innocent men get shot by criminals.

Are there still obituaries, death notices, service notices?

I have the feeling we will not get any confirmation on this.

I posted 2 controversial issues, and he hasn't responded to them. I'm convince!

hxxp://www.sfgate.com/chronicle/obituaries/

Obits usually appear a couple of weeks after the event though. I can understand this, it takes a certain type of mindset to think of an obit for a loved one.

Still hoping...

No. I forgot to mention that I had also written a thoughful PM just shortly before anyone notice he was missing. I notice that he hasn't responded to them. He has been known to be feisty and passionate on the forum. If he was alive he would of been passionate about expressing his views.

I would think that there would be a death notice at least so that friends and family would know about the arrangements.  I lost one of my parents just a few short weeks ago on a Saturday and the Obit was online Sunday night at the local paper's website.

That said, the longer Stretch is quiet, the more I worry.

I add my voice to the chorus of people praising Stretcher's works and his gentlemanly conduct on these boards. He always had a kind word for my own morphs - seemed like a great guy. My condolances to his family and friends.

I'm hoping this is a hoax, too, but I feel we've seen the last of him and we won't get any better closure.  Sigh.

Later, Stretch-dude!  You'll be missed.

Fecking crackheads. Too bad he didn't keep his cool and approach the menace a little better. Even Buford Pusser from Walking Tall paid a high price for confronting this sort of scumbag. Sad to read the news.
