Further proof that I'm blessed with some percentage of nerd genetics I guess... that I can tell a t-square from a hammer! In my own defense, I own (and use often) quite a few hammers including a great Bosch rotary hammer. And yes, I also have and use a big t-square too... when you gotta have an accurate right angle cut on something, there's nothing better.

And yes, Miranda DOES look great in her glasses.

Don't know if this theory has been put forth in here before, but the reason (at least in my mind) that "geek" girls are so desirable, particularly the ones who are attractive, is that nearly of the men who visit websites like the BEA, or go to the model shows like Glamourcon or any of the adult expos, etc. are all geeks themselves. (no offense, fellas -- I consider myself a geek, too)  So it only makes sense: people are attracted to other people who are like them.  It's just basic human nature.  When girls are more like you are, they're less intimidating, more easy to relate to and you feel like you understand them and they understand you.

Just my theory.

Plausible theory. I still think it's that the glasses make them unshy about facials, but that's just me.

I think it's the fact that someone very sexy is hidden beneath a conservative exterior.  In my own experiences, I've been hit on much more often if I'm wearing like "business attire" -- but with a few buttons undone (showing some cleavage) so guys can just have a taste of what's underneath.  I think the imagination is a powerful thing -- much sexier (I think) than if I went out wearing something that basically leaves nothing to the imagination.  Just my experiences!!!

Anyway, staying on subject, I think the same of miss B Belden: it can be obvious but when there is mistery and teasing you create such a perfect chemistry between a male and female that everything become special.

...But most women dont fit strictly into popular/cheerleader category or nerd/geek category. Alicia Loren, Nadine Jansen, Eden Mor? Where do they fit?

 Same with men. I'm an obsessive and a bit shy, I like good comics, videogames and listen to sometimes towering amount of music,,, but I'm not a geek.

 I generally hate geeks. Geeks are often those people who think all jokes about popular fictional characters are funny,, waste loads of money and have become zomified by the hype machines of large companies who churn out crap to all these enslaved fanboys who think they are so smart.
 It's just like the problem with lots of gay people....

-Boy realises he is gay, he finds out he has things in common with other gay men,,, then he conforms to the stereotype of an annoying shreiking fairy rather than going further to discover his true self.

-Boy realises he likes lots of things that are considered "geeky", he decides that he needs to get into Star Wars even though, deep down he has no affection for the films at all,, but he doesent listen to himself and ends up spending a large fortune on merchandise. He ends up erasing any doubts inside himeself that he doesent even like Star Wars,, but he wonders why he feels so empty inside when he buys all these new Star Wars toys,, he kills himself eventually.

 I once saw this really hot busty girl in the comic shop with her mother, she looked like a slight stereotype since she had big round glasses on but her tight green shirt and leather jacket suggested she knew she was quite hot,, but it was extremely offputting when she started picking up piles of really crap mainstream comics,, so it seemed she was zomibified to some degree,,, or maybe she was buying them just to burn them in front of another geek.

 I was going to say that nerdy girls are no more or less attractive than popular cheerleader types,, but I see more beautiful girls in comic and videogame shops than I do in big expensive clothing stores,, those clthes girls are more likely to wear too much makeup, stink of perfume and have absurd orange skin that they inflicted on themselves.

 Nerdy is not so bad, but of course words like "geek", "nerd" and any others have different meanings to different people and who have different ideas about who should be labelled as one of these. I think "bookish" is a good one, more likely to be actually genuinely smart.

Yep, I tend to agree in the most part - they say opposites attract, but I don’t buy in to that.  It is just easier to talk to someone if you have a common interest. I can talk to non-geeky women, but its harder work trying to think about subjects of common interest.   I reckon most guys are the same.  Maximum gain, minimum effort.
