We've said it before, but it bears repeating -- strokes are not pretty. A friend's father had a clause in his living will to the effect that, if he should ever have a major stroke, they should put him on the "Do Not Resuscitate" list: he would rather die than have to put his family through the torture of having a "vegetable" (his words) to deal with. That's to tell you just how bad a stroke can get.
To GammaRai: I know what you are going through. It is terrible hard work, with seemingly no way out, but there IS light at the end of the tunnel. The tree is felled not by the 101st stroke, but by the cumulative effects of the previous hundred. Be strong, and know that we all wish you the very best of health in the shortest possible time.
