You're right! He often posts threads that are interesting enough to be self-perpetuating, but I have heard nothing recently...
Someday, chi1dren, this entire fuck-up will be yours.

I believe in a thread somewhere Palomine made a general comment to the effect Goober had some real life matters to tend to, but it's been awhile.

He'll come sailing back in with a 'gator strapped to each foot just when we've given up all hope. I have faith in Goober.

been doing very well my friend. just can't get used to the constant ticking. when i lay down to rest, sometimes it's so loud (at least to me), it is difficult to go to **82**. and i've found that if i hold my mouth open in a certain way, others around me begin to look around trying to find where the ticking is coming from. occasionly they actually ask someone near them if they can also hear it... (insert evil smile here)...

I don't think I'm familiar with the context here.  A replacement (artificial) heart valve, perhaps?

I read one story some time ago where one chap had such a device, and had to give up playing poker.  Despite his poker face, others could tell when he was bluffing due to the increased rate of ticking.

that's it exactly. when the rat poison is regulated properly, someone across the kitchen table can hear this thing. imagine what it is like for the owner...
