This Feenix Autore keyboard http://www.feenixcollection.com/autore.html is very nice, but for $150. it should include dimmable white backlighting. Then I could probably manage to rationalize it. 
Indeed. Once the backlit keyboard was invented, I thought we'd never see unlit keyboards again. Boy was I wrong. Either the demand isn't there, or manufacturers just don't like to add it in all that often.
