Without even a minute's research, I feel comfortable stating that it's a blatant fake for a few reasons, the most obvious of which is resolution: 1-meter resolution is generally just about the best possible available to the public via consumer channels (excepting certain sites/dates such as the WTC before/after 9/11). The resolution in THAT amusing photo is MUCH better than 1-meter... objects mere inches across are plainly visible. Thus, it seems VERY unlikely that while technologically possible, quality like that is reserved for military/intelligence eyes only.

The other giveaway (to me) is the angle of the shot. All satellite photography I've ever seen is taken from above... not from any significant angle other than 90 degrees (the line btwn subject and camera relative to the surface of the earth). This is no surprise, considering the orbital altitude that imagine satellites routinely operate at. To shoot at the indicated angle, the satellite would be pointing its camera well away from 90 degrees, which would require it to 'see' through a much thicker slice of atmosphere, degrading the image even further.

In all probability, the photo was taken from a building across the street, a bit down from, and a few stories above the woman's window, using a telephoto/zoom lens.

JMHO... if anyone determines that it IS a satellite photo, please post the details as I'd like to hear about it.  

No offense man, but sometimes a minute's research is worthwhile. It's not a satellite shot, it's from Google's camera vans like every other street view shot. The resolution is completely feasible.

Actually it was almost certainly taken by a vehicle that looked a lot like this:

 I was under the impression that Google Earth is satellite photography, but it appears that it was streetview maps being discussed, not Earth as originally stated.

Be that as it may, I'll concede it possible if taken as described, however, it seems to me that the camera would have to be a lot higher than just strapped to a tripod atop a hatchback to achieve the result (barring a basement window, which it doesn't look that much like). In any case, anything's possible I suppose and given the additional facts posted above, I'll concede (IMO, not that anyone cares that much about MHO) that perhaps it was genuine.

The street view camera creates a 'dome' of images around it. That exact address is now a blacked-out spot in google maps, so it's likely a real image. Here's is one click down the street from it:
