She was very brave indeed! :D
And so were the writers of this sketch and the BBC for broadcasting it on primetime TV. :)
I don't think the Beeb will show that kind of thing at such a time slot these days.
I have no clue either who she is but perhaps this sketch and her name can be found on one of the 2 "The Best of.." DVD's of this program.
I must have them somewhere...

That is such a good guess, I had to investigate and I think maybe you're right Affenmensch. I'm not positive, but it's quite possible that she's Brigida aka BrigidaGG. A pic of her attached for reference (in which she's admittedly y0unger).
