No, I understand your reasoning for thinking that might be the case, but I meant it in that order. It's not the first time a person has a stage name that doesn't "correctly" show their heritage i.e. a person with a Japanese father yet who takes a non-Japanese stage name, and vice versa. Although I was slightly wrong: her mom is half-Japanese.
Sofia jokes that she got her face from her Japanese mother but her body from the Portuguese side of the family...which definitely makes me want to check out the rest of her family tree!
