This is the second anniversary of the death of “Alicia”. She died suddenly as a result of a tragic accident at home on Wednesday 19 July 2006.
She had a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology and criminal justice. She was a member of the National Wildlife Federation, Amnesty International and a Literacy Volunteer. She loved reading and writing poetry and was a vocalist in many local bands. She was a nature and animal lover, and especially loved her cat. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a free-spirited person and had a big heart. She was a devout Christian and loved her husband.
“Alicia” loved to be digitally transformed which brought her in contact with the BEA, and many here contributed to her fantasies about being transformed.
I first made contact with “Alicia” here online in 2002, about the same time I started digitally altering images. Although I never met her in person I very much consider her a friend and enjoyed our online times together.
Though sadly the beautiful real life person behind the persona we knew as “Alicia” has passed away, her spirit lives on digitally with the many people she encouraged to become digital artists, with her never ending support and kind words, and the hundreds of thousands of images people dedicated to her.
So may the fantasy of the girl next door live on, “Alicia” loved to see how others would like to transform her.
My thoughts are with her husband family and friends as they continue to deal with their loss.
