Wanted to add a comment on something that occurred to me.
When a thread starts getting real long, I don't think it's a major big deal to unintentionally repost a picture (correct me any mods if I'm wrong
. My point is that other contributions would be great as well, so I don't feel like I'm just in a big room listening to my own voice echoing. Probably a bad metaphor, but oh well. Of course others HAVE been contributing (just hyperbole on my part to spice up a point)..... my intent here is to draw
new folks to join in, if you have something to contribute.
The other reason I bring this up (the reposts thing) is that it gets tough for everyone to search through so many pages after a while to see if your favorite pic has already shown up. So I hope that isn't a barrier that keeps people from posting.
Even with going methodically thru folders like I've started doing, I sometimes wonder if I need to include the "obligatory" disclaimer apology before posting. I started out just going though my VB stuff to post my favorites, like a "Best Of" collection of hits, but that got too convoluted and so I had to start being more methodical.
Well, sorry for the rant/wall-of-text, but wanted to get that out.
Pal replies: first: no apology on your part necessary for the accidental/occasional repost. Reposts are not a rule violation and in a long thread on a single subject, they're probably inevitable. I myself have surely put up more than a few in the Suzanne Pritchard thread. What I've started doing maybe a year ago myself is add a suffix to the filename just to tell myself that that I've already uploaded that pic to the forum. I.e.: on my hard drive, filename.jpg will get renamed to filename ULd SP.jpg (or something like that... just my note to myself to say this pic HAS already been uploaded (ULd) to the SP (Suzanne Pritchard) thread). Of course, there's still a chance I could UL (upload 
) the same pic again if I ran across another file with the same image but with a different filename but at least it prevents me from uploading the exact file twice, and thereby reduces the frequency of my accidental reposts. That's just what I do... merely a suggestion. 
As for participation, I do of course understand your intent but the fact is that you probably have a (much) more comprehensive collection of Virginia Bell pix than anyone else here... I chime in with a pic only when I run across one that looks unfamiliar enough to me that I think there's a chance it hasn't already been posted. Different users have different 'objects of interest' and while you might be delightfully prolific on this subject, other users concentrate on other subjects... that's what makes it a forum. By all means please don't interpret the fact that you do most of the posting in this thread as a sign of a lack of interest.
