The illegals are in this country for quite awhile and the republican didn't want to enforce the corporation to give up their rights to hire them under the tables, so they were getting a free ride undermining fair wages for the rest of us, so the liberal tried to do something about that by making them have the right to hold jobs so they can't pay under the table and redirect taxes back to our country.
"Yesterday, Reince Priebus called this whole story a 'nothing burger,'" he said. "Well these emails have turned it into an all-you-can-prosecute buffet."

DACA proves that Democrats / Liberals care more about foreigners who are not supposed to be in this country than native born and legal immigrants. ... The fact that I, as an American, have less rights than these criminals is revolting.   >:(

Do you have any idea what a DACA recipient has to go through in order to be eligible for the program? If you did, you wouldn't be talking about them the way you are. Do a bit of research, and you will find that "DACA" and "criminals" have nothing to do with each other.

Also, do you know exactly when "illegal" immigrants became a thing, as in why the phrase "illegal immigrants" started being used, and towards whom? Again, a bit of research will show you why that phrase is as loaded as "black-on-black crime" or "welfare queens".

The Republicans control the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives, yet somehow 40% of the population will find a way to blame the Democrats for the current government shutdown. The last time the Republicans pulled a stunt like this, it cost the country 24 billion US dollars.

Baffling that a party which claims to be the "party of fiscal responsibility" keeps on doing things like this. Doesn't make much sense.

And then there is this, from the Topeka Capital-Journal:

Quote

"Judge in Kansas denies request to boost number of Trump voters in jury"

Three men accused of plotting to bomb an apartment complex housing Somali refugees in Kansas have no legal basis to request that prospective jurors come from rural counties where more residents voted for President Donald Trump, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

The men are accused of targeting apartments and a mosque in Garden City, a meatpacking area in rural western Kansas. But they are being tried about 220 miles (354 kilometers) away at the closest federal courthouse in Wichita, where trials pull prospective jurors from surrounding, more urban counties.

The men argue the practice is discriminatory because it excludes western Kansas counties where more rural, conservative residents live.

U.S. District Judge Eric Melgren ruled that the demographic differences between the regions aren’t legally recognizable and wouldn’t violate the men’s right to a jury trial before a cross-section of the community. Melgren also said the defendants lacked standing to act on behalf of citizens in those counties to challenge the court’s practice.

Prosecutors had opposed the men’s request, arguing that defense attorneys were trying to pick a jury pool based on ideology and open “a dangerous door” to similar requests in other cases.

The defendants — Gavin Wright, Patrick Stein and Curtis Allen — are accused of plotting to detonate truck bombs in Garden City a day after the November 2016 election. They are charged with conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction and conspiracy against civil rights. Wright also is accused of lying to the FBI.

The men, who prosecutors allege were part of a militia group, have pleaded not guilty.

In other words, domestic terrorists are requesting there be more Trump voters on their jury.

This is not normal.

Now Trumpelstilsken is not happy with the lost senate vote for the budget. Then he wants to change the voting rules that are there since the founders made them. His lack of understanding of democracy, his fascist behaviours are well known in Germany. Adolf Hitler also changed the rules in the German Reichstag because he didn't like 'em. That way he became the ulimate leader. But this is the ultimate almighty sex fantasy of Trumpelstilsken goons anyway. They get a boner when thinking of an ultimate Nazi leader Trumpelstilsken.

So the quick response to the end of the gov't shut down is:

Schumer folded like a cheap suit.

Immigrant groups are whining about how he sold the DREAMers out.

But stop and look at it rationally.

The GOP had two hostages: DACA, and CHIP. The latter is a program that provides health insurance to kiddies at really low cost.

The deal ending the shutdown got SIX YEARS of funding for CHIP. As far as DACA goes, it's still in effect. And a federal court judge has ruled that the administration can't stop accepting renewals. So there's nothing to worry about there for now.

Sure, the Dems just have a "promise" from McConnell to work on a DACA bill. But come Feb 8, if he's still blocking it, the gov't shuts down again - and there'll be no doubt whose fault it is.

So the GOP just lost one of their "hostages", and negotiations for the other are still going on.

This in no way is a "defeat" for the Democrats. At worst, it's a tactical withdrawl. The fight isn't over yet!

It is worthwhile to read about the career of Nathanael Greene in the Revolutionary War. After a succession of awful commanders in the South, Washington appointed him as the commander of all forces from Delaware on south - essentially, second in command to Washington. American forces in that part of the Colonies (the Carolinas, mostly) were weak, badly equipped, and outnumbered by the British. Greene's strategy was to divide his forces, compelling the Brits to divide theirs, and then constantly harass and annoy them. Greene never won a single pitched battle against the British - but his constant attacks forced the Brits to pay a heavy price for each of their victories. Eventually, the British under Cornwallis gave up and retreated to Virginia, leaving Greene in charge. And we all know how the war turned out.

I suspect Schumer is trying something similar.

Over at Wonkette (which you should be following and sending some spare dollars towards if you love your liberal commentary with a healthy dose of humorous snark), "Five Dollar Feminist" noted something interesting with the vote to end the shutdown:

"For another, nobody had to eat a shit sandwich by voting for something that pissed off their constituents. In the Senate, 18 Democrats and 2 Republicans voted “No” on the CR, including Harris, Feinstein, Gillibrand, Warren, Booker, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul. Nancy Pelosi and Democratic whip Steny Hoyer oppose it and won’t have to whip their members to take an unpopular vote. But red state Dems who are up in November — Manchin, Heitkamp, Donnelly and McCaskill — got political cover to vote to reopen the government."

(emphasis in original)
Counterpoint: Maybe Chuck Schumer ISN’T A Fucking Asshole Weakling That We Hate?
by Five Dollar Feminist -
January 23, 2018 - 9:26am

Over at MSNBC, Lawrence O'Donnell noticed something very interesting after the vote to shut down the gov't. That vote DIDN'T end business for the day. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D- Missouri), who, as noted above, is up for re-election in a "red" state this fall, basically double-dog dared McConnell to allow the military to continue to get paid, no matter how long the shutdown lasted. McConnell said No.

http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/watch/lawrence-with-i-object-mcconnell-owns-shutdown-s-worst-harms-1143240771644

For those who don't want to watch the whole thing, O'Donnell noted that two other Democratic senators who are up for re-election also requested similar motions to keep the gov't running for three and even just one more day. McTurtle said NO to both. That all three used the same rarely used bit of Senatorial procedure, and that they are all key Senators for the Mid-Terms, strongly hints at Schumer working behind the scenes to publicly, and on the Congressional Record, embarrass McTurtle....... 8)

Schumer is an adult. He knows what he's doing, and can handle criticism for putting off a decision on some 700,000 DREAMers. Especially when CHIP covers NINE MILLION young American citizens...... 8) 8)

You have to wonder just how stupid they are at FOX News.

Seriously, we know they're idiots, but.....

They spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday raving about how an exchange of e-mails at the FBI revealed a "secret society" working within the agency to bring down the Trump administration! The exact quote was: "Perhaps this is the first meeting of the secret society." (FROM Lisa Page TO Peter Sztrok - you know, the agents the Right Wing loves to hate!) Oh noes! Media Matters counted over 100 references to the "story" in two days, from Fox newspeople and their friends in the House of Representatives.

Well, ABC News got a hold of the entire e-mail:

"Are you even going to give out your calendars? Seems kind of depressing. Maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society."

Simple journalistic investigation by the NY Times revealed that the "calendar" reference was to a bunch of Russian calendars they bought, intending to give them out to other agents as a gag gift.

If only Lisa had thought to put "LOL" at the end!

If this is what they're relying on to stop the Mueller investigation, they're panicking.

As well they should be, since the NY Times is reporting (RIGHT NOW, BREAKING NEWS) that last June, Trump wanted to fire Mueller, backing down only after top WH lawyer Donald F. McGahn II said he'd quit if El Presidente went through with it.

Yeah, things are starting to get even more interesting......

Taking things out of context and lying loudly about it, even when it's very easily proven to be a lie. That's the SOP of Faux News.

You have to wonder just how stupid they are at FOX News.

It's not their stupidity I'm worried about. It's the stupidity of the people who watch them, believe every word they say, and then act on it. That ranges from the idiot who went with a gun to a pizza place because he heard they had a basement where they did unspeakable acts -- even though the building in question doesn't even have a basement -- all the way up to the people at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Rupert Murdoch should be hauled up on charges for what he is doing to the American body politic. It's evil.

The Highly Anticipated 2017 Fake News Awards!

1. The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover.
(Dow hits record high)

2. ABC News' Brian Ross CHOKES and sends markets in a downward spiral with false report.
(Ross was demoted)

3. CNN FALSELY reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks.
(Got those dates wrong, and yes thats the whole point - the info was already public!)

4.
TIME FALSELY reported that President Trump removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.
(This was one of the first fake news stories)

5. Washington Post FALSELY reported the President’s massive sold-out rally in Pensacola, Florida was empty. Dishonest reporter showed picture of empty arena HOURS before crowd started pouring in.
(Some leftist communist terrorist news outlet also did it with the New England Patriots visit, who responded via twitter)

6. CNN FALSELY edited a video to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding.
(CNN lost their damn minds, as always)

7. CNN FALSELY reported about Anthony Scaramucci’s meeting with a Russian, but retracted it due to a “significant breakdown in process.”
(Three CNN employees "resign" because of it)

8. Newsweek FALSELY reported that Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda did not shake President Trump’s hand.
(They shook hands)

9. CNN FALSELY reported that former FBI Director James Comey would dispute President Trump’s claim that he was told he is not under investigation.
(The claim and then the truth.)

10. The New York Times FALSELY claimed on the front page that the Trump administration had hidden a climate report.

11. And last, but not least: "RUSSIA COLLUSION!" Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people. THERE IS NO COLLUSION!
Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

So GOP hast time for this kind of nonsense? They nearly don't get anything managed, but a list of fake news? Really?
1. Let's see that after 4 and 6 years again ...

3. a mistake in date

4. a mistake a bust was removed. At least compared to far right wing nazi terrorist bloggers the TIME reporter, democracy and western value respecting as he and what we know from responsible media, is corrects his error with an appology: http://time.com/4645541/donald-trump-white-house-oval-office/
Something like this I only once want to see from fake news producer Trumpelstilsken! Ever heared an apology from him? No, because he has no cochonnes ...

And interesting read how many times republicans did this kind of FAKE NEWS about a bust removal ... http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2017/jan/22/context-winston-churchill-and-mlk-busts/
GOP is RIDICOLOUS and has no manners to remember their own FAKE NEWS!!!

8. a potentially overseen shaking hands. Btw. Merkel he didn't shake hands because he wholeheartly hates her. She is the opposite of him. I don't say I like her, I actually want her to be gone from her job.

And last but not least with 11. they try so safe his ass in the RUSSIA COLLUSION. Deutsche Bank reported to Mueller strange money transfers / payments received by Jared Kushner.

GOP is a big big big joke and trying to get far right wing nazi extremist terrorists people even dumber than they are already now by make them believe everything what they list.

Well there are a few things certainly true, but still tooo many things to bust from that GOP list. It is a shame to have such a party being responsible in the US.

Well, if you're going to bring up those stupid things again...

1. It was a PREDICTION, from a guy who's forgotten more about economics (Paul Krugman, 2008 Nobel Laureate) than the entire Trump family has ever learned. Two days later, he retracted it:

"There’s a temptation to predict immediate economic or foreign-policy collapse," Krugman wrote Nov. 11, 2016. "I gave in to that temptation Tuesday night, but quickly realized that I was making the same mistake as the opponents of Brexit (which I got right). So I am retracting that call, right now. It’s at least possible that bigger budget deficits will, if anything, strengthen the economy briefly."

2. Ross made a mistake in a timeline. He clarified himself later that same day; the next day ABC News issued a formal correction and suspended Ross for four weeks without pay.

3. CNN quickly issued a correction at the top of the story:

"Correction: This story has been corrected to say the date of the email was September 14, 2016, not September 4, 2016. The story also changed the headline and removed a tweet from Donald Trump Jr., who posted a message about WikiLeaks on September 4, 2016."

Other news organizations like the Washington Post noted their error, and issued correct stories.

4. The comment was on a Twitter account, and not an official press release. Miller corrected himself an hour later, and Time Magazine quickly corrected their story.

5. The comment was on the reporter's PERSONAL TWITTER account, not the newspaper's. 20 minutes later, he deleted the tweet and corrected himself. WaPo never reported on it.

6. CNN and other news agencies corrected their stories.

7. When it became clear that the story was wrong, CNN fired the journalists responsible.

8. When the full video became available, Newsweek updated their story.

9. It was a guess, not a statement of fact. After Comey's testimony, they amended their article:

The "article and headline have been corrected to reflect that Comey does not directly dispute that Trump was told multiple times he was not under investigation in his prepared testimony released after this story was published."

10. While the report had indeed been made public months before, there was no announcement, no publicity at all. This actually reinforced the point the authors were making.

11. If there really is no collusion, why not let the investigation run its course and PROVE it?

So, what we have here is basically an opinion, a couple of tweets, an item subject to different interpretations, a couple of minor errors of fact (dates and the like), and a few really small "oopsies" resulting from being overeager to get a story out.

And you'll note that in each of them (except for the last, which is Donnie's wishful thinking), corrections were swiftly made and punishments given where appropriate. That's how REAL news works.

Has Donnie ever admitted being incorrect?
