"You don't have to wear a mask if youre vaccinated." Few months later, the mask mandates returned for all.

The UK dropped mandates almost a month ago and not a peep about it.
Canadian Truckers fighting for freedom. Trudeau sounding like a tyrant and the real Covidiots worried about a meaningless f@ceb00k post rather than addressing what the Truckers are fighting for.
Also, a few blue states in the US are dropping mask mandates, almost simultaneously - like getting together on election night and deciding together to stop counting.

Our Dictator...er...Governor here in Nevada got rid of the mask mandate Thursday afternoon due to science. The political science of course. The mandate was becoming more a more a political liability and his re-election was/is becoming more and more problematic. Utah and Arizona got rid of theirs months ago and they had a lower incidence than Nevada and the folks started to notice that and, here anyways, people are thinking that the masks are worthless more and more. Personally, I am glad I don't have to enforce the rule anymore on the casino floor. It was/is a source of friction with the guests. The CDC itself no longer champions it so much anymore/anyways and there are several European countries that are rescinding or modifying their rules. I think most people now will simply learn to live with it.

The title of the video ("Anti-Vaxxers Roasted By Comedian Jim Gaffigan") is true, but Ari's commentary on this is very much worth listening to. Antivaxxers are harming themselves and others by when they willfully spread lies online about COVID-19 and should be brought to book. But at the same time trying to convince a person who occupies so much of their time posting memes in Forums (which contain outright, easily-debunkable lies) by calling them a dummy (even if they clearly are stupid, and wicked to boot) may be counterproductive, as the psychologist notes at the eight-minute mark.

Besides, Jim's comedy style isn't "roasting", more like "gently poking fun at other people's foibles in a thoughtful yet funny way".

Meanwhile, more sad news: the number of people who have died as a result of the lies spread by antivaxxers in the United States, is approaching 900,000. The rate of deaths from the omicron strain of the COVID-19 virus is almost at five times the number of people who died on 9/11, every week.
