Some of you might remember that old joke (at least ten years old) about what cars would be like if they were made by Microsoft.
Given that Microsoft is pretty much making people move to Windows 11, it might be time to revive / revise it.
IF MICROSOFT MADE CARS:
* For no apparent reason, every new model would completely redo the layout of the dashboard, to the point where you'd basically have to relearn how to drive a car.
* Every time you started it, you'd have to sit through an ad for Microsoft Tires before you could begin to drive.
* And every so often, they'd randomly decide to stop servicing or even make parts for cars more than a few years old.
IF APPLE MADE CARS:
* While you could buy one at almost any car dealer, you could ONLY get it serviced at an official Apple dealership, which are few and far between - and it would cost twice as much as it should.
* Any attempts at servicing the car yourself - even so much as changing a flat tire - would lock you out of the car and violate the warranty on every other Apple car you owned.
IF OTHER OS COMPANIES (Linux, et al.) MADE CARS:
* They'd be very reliable and efficient, but you'd have to learn an entirely new driving style. And do ALL the maintenance yourself. And good luck finding a mechanic who knows how to service them, or even parts that are compatible.
