The biggest thrill for me was...rooming with RickyJava!
OK, just kidding. Our cabin was between Barocca's cabin and Busty Dusty and Kimberly Kupps' cabin. I didn't get lucky, except with Ricky, but then I didn't expect to and didn't try to.
There was a point after mid-week that I felt I'd taken enough pictures, and sometimes I just left the camera in the camera bag and just watched and enjoyed the experience. The last day or two I was happy to give away my remaining rolls of film to people who'd underestimated their photography needs. (I still took a LOT of pictures.)
I also had a great time on the sailing ship...I have no interest in taking a standard "ocean liner" cruise, but sailing under actual sails was great. And I'd never been to the Caribbean, so I enjoyed the few stops we made at towns as much as the photography stops at uninhabited beaches. I think anyone who focused only on the models missed a big part of the experience.
Having the opportunity to not only photograph the models but to have casual conversations with them most any time of day, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner with them, watch them get their hair done and their make up for photo sessions, swim, watch sunsets, and dance, party, and just hang out with them, was a great experience.
Oh...and I remember Danni lugging around a laptop and showing off an early prototype of her Web site in 95. She was kind enough to host a few pages of text and pictures I gave her about that cruise.
