BTW, Luvdemwhoppers, although it may appear MaxBigfoot misspelled "dearly" in his association, Max was actually making a play-on words with the previous entry, Jane Doe. Making the association that a doe is in fact a female deer (thank you, "Sound of Music" :)), he took the opportunity to replace the word "dear" with the word "deer" as a rhyming substitute in the phrase "Deerly beloved". I would imagine, were that quote given a "Far Side" comic strip drawing, it would resemble either a wedding or a funeral featuring anthropomorphic deer. :)
