Jean-Paul Sartre is sitting at a French cafe, revising his draft of Being and Nothingness. He says to the waitress, “I’d like a cup of coffee, please, with no cream.” The waitress replies, “I’m sorry, Monsieur, but we’re out of cream. How about with no milk?”

From Men's Journal
For years, coffee got blamed for causing cancer, heart disease,
osteoporosis, and more. Now doctors realize that those health troubles
probably had more to do with coffee drinkers' cigarette and jelly doughnut
habits than their morning cups of Joe. In fact, http://www.mensjournal.
 com/health-fitness/health/coffees-heart-health-benefits-20130517" more
studies are now showing that coffee carries several serious health
benefits, such as staving off Parkinson's disease and type 2 diabetes.
Researchers have just uncovered another big perk: Coffee can slash your
risk of liver cancer by 40 percent.
 ...
Just how does coffee protect the liver? "There are a number of possible
mechanisms," says Neal Freedman, an investigator with the National
Cancer Institute. "Coffee is a rich source of antioxidants," which protect
the body against disease-causing free radicals and inflammation. Freedman
says coffee also may improve insulin signaling, which could help prevent
diabetes, a known risk factor for liver cancer. "Many observational studies
have suggested that people who drink coffee may be less likely to get
diabetes," he says. "Having diabetes can increase your risk of developing
liver cancer, so coffee **94** potentially protects against liver cancer by
 reducing your likelihood of diabetes."

I have already written about my moving into another apartment after my battle with and losing to bedbugs.

I guess when someone does a hurry up and move out in 2 days a lot of things that I could have taken were left behind.

In my case I left my coffee maker.

I was told by the apartment manager that it would be the next week after move that nothing would be done until then.

This past Saturday I went  back to the old place and my abandoned apartment was completely gutted and everything was gone.

So I had to get another coffee maker and I found one at a "Dollar Store" for only $10.

It only makes one cup at a time, but for now it will have to do.

I like to add powdered cinnamon to my coffee grounds before brewing and a tablespoon of honey after.

At the end of this month I will get a coffee maker, toaster and microwave at Walmart.

It's been a rough time for me after this episode in my life, but at least I now  can relax and have a cup of coffee at the beginning of the day!

Zorro, I highly recommend something like this:

         http://www.amazon.com/Melitta-64008-Ready-Filter-Cone/dp/B000YA7OUK/

It's cheap... all you need is a coffee cup, this cone, a box of #2 coffee filters (or in a pinch, a paper towel folded twice), and a way to boil water, and you'll be **94** the best-tasting coffee you ever made.

(This is one of those rare cases in which the simplest, cheapest method of doing something is actually the best method.)
