I think I will get one of those for a backup coffee maker.

I only about $100.00 left in my debit card account and I have to keep a watch on my spending.

Thanks for the link Gonzo!

We could be **94** a lot more coffee and, in fact, we used to. In 1946, when America’s thirst for coffee peaked, each of us swallowed about 48 gallons a year on average, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture — more than twice current consumption. “We’d drink coffee with breakfast, coffee with lunch, and coffee with dinner,” says John Sicher, publisher of Beverage Digest. “And mostly, we’d drink it at home.”

Yeah, but that was when it was $.05 a cup. Now it's $5.00 a cup.

When enjoying one of my favorite things, I like to think about the other one. ;)

Though not specifically coffee related, when I was searching for the attached pic, I ran across disembodied bits of a blog about/by a mother contemplating the changes to her body since childbirth. Allow me to quote a few choice tidbits"

Quote
"You might call yours a vagina, but I made the mistake of taking a hand mirror down there for some post-childbirth exploration, and all I saw was a giant, weary elephant looking back at me. Sometimes I have nightmares that he’s trying to eat me. On Mondays, I can hear him sighing in exhaustion."

---

"AKA, my breasts. After three years of breastfeeding, I got so talented that I could swing one behind my head and pass it around the minivan for anyone that needed a snack. I just asked that it be passed back before anyone got out of the car. (I do have some standards.) Now that my breastfeeding days are over, my breasts have been replaced by dried out, shriveled up baby carrots.

---

"I didn’t even know I had a perineum until it was destroyed by three vaginal births. And apparently – I have a SHORT perineum – which means that I tore from hole to hole during each childbirth – resulting in a giant vasshole.  And giant vassholes produce a lot of sharts - trust me."

Something better to look at:

"Coffee: The Greatest Addiction Ever" by CGP Grey

rtpoe

Gently I stir a white feather fan,
With open shirt sitting in a green wood.
I take off my cap and hang it on a jutting stone;
A wind from the pine-tree trickles on my bare head.

Thank you, rtpoe. I love the various CPG Grey clips. Of course, I love the Crash Courses, too.
