Channel surfed last night and came(not literally) across the 80's classic, Hot Dog the Movie. Along with Hardbodies, Gimme an F and Private School, some of the best of the genre. Which brings up the question. What  80's movies should we recommend to the younger generation?

Note: This was inspired by me being on another forum where someone mentioned that they were born in the 80's and had not known who Farrah Fawcett was.

There are so many to choose from but I loved the Police Academy series, particularly the fourth one. The sight of Leslie Easterbrook emerging with her nipples on show was a very happy image to a young adolescent with raging hormones ;)!! I suspect the fourth movie will be the most popular amongst boob fans on account of this very scene!!!

'Now, who's going to save me!'. Classic scene lol!!

1980's Up the Academy is tedious, but it does have Barbara Bach.

The Beach Girls was a big favorite of mine back then, as was Taking It Off Again (I didn't see the original Taking It Off until many years later and I hated it). Young Lady Chatterly 2, starring Adam West, was pretty fun too. And then of course there was the late nite king of Skinimax, Andy Sidaris, whose entire ovure simply ruled.

Dana Kaminsky as "Melanie" in "Hot Resort" ...I was mighty impressed when I first saw her. She's got that delightful natural pendulous thing going on that you don't often see in mainstream movies (Rosario Dawson and a few others being exceptions). Dana was SO cute. :)

Holy cow,Palomine!
It must've been tough to find that screencap. That wasn't exactly a popular movie from the 80's.
The movies mentioned here are the teen sex variety,so I'll list some from other genres.
Sid and Nancy-Great flick.Gary Oldman and Chloe Webb should have been at least nominated for an Oscar.Even Johnny Rotten, who hates almost anyone's interpretation of the Pistols, said he couldn't believe how down pat both actors got Sid and Nancy.Do yourself a favor and watch a clip or 2 from the movie on YouTube and then watch an interview with the real Sid and Nancy that is also on YouTube. It will freak you out how much the actors got both down to the tee.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space-fun cult classic comedy-horror film.Even Leonard Maltin gave it 2 and a half or 3 out of 4 stars.(I can't remember which)And he usually shits on movies like this.
The River's Edge-the only movie that Keanu Reeves had a great performance in my opinion.Based on a true story.Crispin Glover is amazing in this.

Just a few more.
Midnight Run-Lot's of familiar faces from other 80's films.Deniro is great as usual here.Hard film to put in a category. One week I rented this and it was in the comedy section and the next week it was in the action section.Very fun movie.
Torso-Italian slasher flick.Lots of sex.One lesbian scene involving 4 women seems to be right out of a porn film.Spooky and violent film.Much different from the US slasher films.
The Boys Next Door-no,it's not a gay film.Released in 1984 and stars Charlie Sheen.2 teens go to LA and cause mayhem. It's a "Teen's are no good violent thugs and are going to hell"commentary film.2 unintentional funny scenes involve a bottle and an old lady and someone getting the crap beat out of them with a gas pump handle.Sheen is good in this, too.

Definitely Fast Times At Ridgemont High.  Great scene where Phoebe Cates takes her bikini top off, has been parodied many times.  "Doesn't anybody knock anymore?"  Also learn about premature ejaculation from Jennifer Leigh.  And then the guy flees in embarrassment.

Nearly flat, but I fell in love with Helen Slater in Supergirl, 1984. Dream a Little Dream, on the other hand, was a busty wake up call in 1989 -- a different actress, and I'm not sure if I can refer to her here in that context, as she was under@ge at the time. But so was I!

tdotter, "Midnight Run" somehow got a dubious honor from me -- I decided one day that I wanted it to be my standard of mediocrity.  That may sound bad, but what I mean by that is "If the average movie could be at least this good, I could be a very happy camper."

Keeping this on topic: one VERY guilty pleasure of mine is called Hamburger.  A stripping psychologist, a climaxing Randi Brooks -- it has its diversions.

are you talking about the female lead, Meredith Salenger, she was 18/19 at the time and she was awesome looking in that, only Jennifer Connelly in the early mid 90s topped her ;).
