Is it odd that I only find her attractive as Bernadette? Every time I see her outside of the Big Bang Theory, I find myself disappointed. It's like she looks 15 lbs lighter when she's not on the show. I don't understand it. It's not just less boob weight either. Her face seems less full, her hair is less voluminous. Just overall more gaunt. She does not look sickly or anything, but less cute than on the show. I can't explain it.

Actually, I *do* agree with you 100% Ronald... she *is* most appealing in her Bernadette guise. They're always cinching in her waistline for the Cheesecake Factory uniform (in older episodes) and it's possible they might even pad her a little up top too (or at least work an underwire bra for all it's worth). When I see her in some outside/event photo, even though she's still cute (very cute actually) she doesn't quite pack the visual (or pseudo-emotional) punch that she does as Bernadette.

Of course, the same can be said for Gillian Anderson, who *always* appealed more (to me) as Scully than in another role or in real life interviews.

Palomine - We have noticed the same thing. (X-files has been in re-runs again recently). As far as Melissa Rauch goes, she is a perfect example of the camera adding 10 lbs. (4.536 kg). She has a rather boxy figure mostly due to her height and not much torso so costuming and undergarments come into play. The best Big Bang "reveals" are the few times we she her in night gowns - not much tapper on her waist.
