Looking it up, though, it appears to be a P-130 Amazon 2-D, produced from 1961-1970, at least from the pic I came across on Volvo’s site that looked pretty close.

I thought that was weird, too.  But I think it’s just an unfortunate juxtaposition.  I think he’s just looking up at the thing and perhaps the bit of plant is in front of him.  Dunno
