Fox Red Eye is a sight for sore eyes, thanks to Carrie Keagan
« on: January 22, 2010, 12:57:13 AM »
Usually spend some time before bed catching up with the news, stuff I've dvr'd, do some reading etc. While channel chasing last night, stopped on Fox News Redeye and caught Carrie Keagan on the show.

carrieredeye

Pass is still: 1223!!!

Carrie Keagan is part of a panel discussing a group wanting there to be a male version of the Statue of Liberty. As far as the Statue part, whatever. As far as Carrie goes, well, I don't know her in the biblical sense, but she seems good natured. One of the panelists says this of Carrie: "If loveliness were a department store, clothes would be flying off her rack." And yes, she has a rack.

Clip up shortly, here's a screen shot.

Update: after googling a bit, seems she's a semi-regular on the show, and the guys make jokes with her about her womanliness on a regular basis.

I just updated my shared folder with a file called video.flv - too lazy to convert it right now, and I know many of you have players to play flv files anyway.

NOTE: mobile me is undergoing scheduled maintenance as I post this, so clips may not be available for a couple hours plus or minus. ALSO NOTE AGAIN: I don't leave clips up forever, as new clips are posted some of the old ones may disappear.

Thanks Chestnuts! :) FRE is pretty much the only Faux Nooz show I can stomach for more than a few minutes at a time, thanks to the fact that there's not so much else on that time of night AND due to the eye candy they routinely trot out (the short-haired brunette who was on last night was delicious despite that weird flappy collar on her dress). Like pretty much 90% of the on-air females at Faux, they all mostly seem cut from the same cloth: former beauty-queen wannabes who can speak at least somewhat articulately despite often appearing to have almost no grasp of the actual topics about which they're speaking. Very much in that Sarah Palin vein: all surface and no substance. This hiring practice at Faux is what's most often cited by our resident Dittoheads (they know who they are! ;) ) as 'proof' that conservative/Republican women are hot vs. liberal/Democrat women who by contrast, are surely all mannish homely canines. :D

PS: just a comment: I know you cycle content at your *generous* sharing page, and that you don't have the time to re-UL specific clips by request. I understand and agree and etc... that policy. I DL only those clips I find interesting and leave the rest alone, so as not to needlessly tax your bandwidth. However, I *have* found once or twice that I accidentally DLd the same thing twice... not remembering what it was/that I had already DLd it before. To avoid this, maybe you could keep an information page (text file) up there describing what file is what clip, or maybe just lengthen the filenames to be a bit more descriptive? I can see reasons you wouldn't want to do either thing... and regardless I'm still *VERY* appreciating of your capping/sharing, but I just wanted to mention that with a week or two btwn DLs, it's sometimes hard to keep track of what file is what clip, which makes it double hard to remember what was already DLd. Just a bit of feedback for you to do with as you see fit. Thanks again for all your great work and posts! :)

Palomine -

There can't be all bad on any tv program that features babes.

While I can't disagree with your assessments concerning 'former beauty-queens' and that Sarah Palin needs to do a lot more homework, I'm a Constitutionalist. I believe that the Founding Fathers of this country were some of the smartest people to ever walk the earth concerning what kind of government is the best - the one that governs the least. That puts me squarely on the right side of the dial. And as Our Founding Fathers knew, the bigger government becomes, the more dangerous and corrupt it is.

I also believe that Fox News never would have gotten off the ground if the news on CBS, NBC, etc. were not biased far to the left.

And in general (not aimed at Palomine) -

And speaking of left and right, I'm getting tired of those on the right being called Nazis. Nazis are far left, in that a small group wants to control everything, Anarchy is actually far right - no government at all.

Bush was a social democrat - Bush republicans were actually left of center in that government's role continued to increase. Obama has accelerated government's role even more.

I intentionally try to stay away from off-topic because I can get along with people here for the reason I spend time here - I like voluptuous women.

I visit other places to discuss politics/religion/etc. If I ever decide not to post here anymore, it's because I'm tired of all the venomous hatred.

Back to Pal -

I don't always have the time to organize my 'hobby' to make things more convenient, but when I have some time I'll see what I can do.

Long time fan of Carrie, her Up Close bits on www.ngtv.com (no good TV) are great, and she is a great looking girl too ;).

Hi Chestnuts,

Thanks for your considered and cultured (as always) reply! :)

My suggestion re: some sort of simple index was just that, a suggestion. I collect the products of your labors in much the same way I do the works of various artists and morphers here: enthusiastically and appreciatively. I was just thinking that a list would help folks keep track of what's what over time. Not a big deal either way. :)

I'll absolutely agree that political discussions are best left to OTF and even there, sometimes consequences loom. Given the mention of FRE (and the fact that I watch it as well) I couldn't help but allude to the modus operandi I've seen among the female panelists on the show, the vast majority of which seem to be sourced from other Fox tv/online/radio properties. Being the horndog that I (happily) am, I CAN and DO appreciate the appearance of a talking head (even the most intellectually unpleasant ones) *separate* from what they're saying. To wit: despite her seeming actually mentally unbalanced (I suspect a brain chemistry issue) I still think Michelle Bachman is one of the MILFiest politicos currently out there regardless of orientation.

Actually, if at some point in the future we might calmly discuss your views on strict interpretation of the Constitution (originalists) I'd be happy to do so... I certainly see the appeal in that, but IMO it runs into serious impediments not unlike folks who prefer an absolute literal interpretation of the bible. Your comments strike (to my ear) a tone more libertarian than conservative or Republican... and there's also the matter of the more than two centuries that have passed since the Founding Fathers did their thing, and all the changes that come into play... but again, that's a conversation for another time.

Back to Red Eye: despite its host, it's often funny. IMO, the regular participant Bill Schultz has got a quick and entertaining wit and justifies watching, completely apart from the sometimes vacuous eye candy. Of course, I *do* have quite the sweet tooth. ;)

I may do something as simple as putting old stuff in a folder and vidclips from say, the last month, separate.

Our Founding Fathers had studied many different forms of government before deciding on a Republic - not a democracy, which many people claim is what this country was meant to be - NEVER. The Founding Fathers knew history and what worked and what didn't. The Founding Fathers also understood the nature of humans - power corrupts.

Many people today believe a 'soft' socialism - a modified oligarchy - is the answer for government for this modern era. Time will tell, but history is against its success.

The Founding Fathers would be disgusted with todays dems and repubs alike.

A person once told me how he seemed to get along with everyone - he refused to discuss politics or religion. If I want to find enemies, it's easily done at other places - there's some people who really hate me.

I enjoy having a place where I can sit back, relax and enjoy without worrying about conflicts. So I stay mainly over here in vcr alerts as in this particular area I can find some camaraderie. And I continue to hope politics and religion don't run over from other areas of the BEA and sneak their way in here (vcr alerts).

So I'll drop the subject and hope it doesn't return to the 'what's on tv' section.

Hey look - fair and balanced
