Hedy Lamarr wasn't just a beautiful woman, prior to World War 2 she left Nazi Germany and came to the USA and during the war, she invented an automatic frequency radio changer which allowed the Allies to send secret messages which the Axis powers had a hard time intercepting.

Not just a pretty face, although she was that too along with a fabulous body and smoldering sultry eyes, but a brilliant mind as well. All of which are good reasons to pledge allegiance to Hedy Lamarr!

Particularly on the platform she helped create.

Not exactly - she invented what became wifi (not "the Internet").

There was a fascinating documentary about her and how she did what she did released in 2017, called Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story. If you ever get the chance to watch it, you should! It's on Netflix.
