So the GOP is claiming that removing a lot of environmental regulations on the coal industry will create jobs....

Of course it will! Think how many jobs will become available in the environmental cleanup sector!!!

(ok, weak attempt at a joke....)

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Trumpel logic you have.

Fact is, everyone who shows similar traits in behaviour like Hitler and who has staff that behaves like Hitler is HITLER.
Anti-social behaviours lack consideration for the well-being of others. Any types of conduct that violates basic rights (human rights is one of them) of another person. It can show as covert or overt hostility.

I remember when President Obama was elected, there were a lot of posters going around with Dubya's smiling face and the caption: "Miss Me Yet?"

With this current crew busily trying to wreak unimaginable harm to the Americans who voted for them AND those who didn't -- to name just one thing, removing the Clean Air Act and dumping coal ash into the water supply will not affect Democrats only -- never ever did I think I would ever be able to answer "yes" to that question.

Maybe ol' Fidel was on to something...

I think this YouTube comment covers it fairly well.

Quote

"It's sobering and frightening, in a way, when you realize for the first time that the chief executive doesn't care about the nation he has sworn to serve. That every president you've lived under, whether you voted for them or not, shouldered the burden of their office. They may have made decisions with which we fervently disagreed, but there was never any doubt that the decisions presidents made were made with the best interests of the nation at heart. Not so, this man. He does not care about you. He doesn't care about America. He cares only about adulation and money. He is, by every measure available, a bad human being."

The main point is this. It doesn't matter what political party he heads up and/or represents. Any occupant of the Oval Office behaving this way is bad news for the country as a whole. The problem is that for most conservative Republicans, as long as a bad policy doesn't affect them personally, they don't give a damn about the consequences. If you're a Congressperson, you have great healthcare, you're getting paid a good salary, not to talk of all the other perks of the office besides. So as far as they're concerned, devil take the hindmost.

That's not how it's supposed to work. There's a reason why we call people elected to office "public servants."

^^ You know, I could be a douchebag and say something like "oh a YouTube comment? That's your source? Why should I even listen to some no name blogger wannabe" or something like that. But I won't. If people truly feel Trump does not have the best interest of the American people, I can have a dialogue telling why that could possibly be wrong.

I think you put that comment in the wrong thread though.

So the Media caught Trump going over his speech on the way from the White House to the Capitol the other day. I noted that, given the gloomy weather, Trump's expression, and the main caption, it almost looked like he was leaving the White House for a completely different reason.

So I made a tiny edit to a screen image..... Can you tell what it is?

The latest thing on Twitter?

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, use pictures to compare the Affordable Care Act with the GOP's proposed replacement (Obamacare on the left, the GOP thing on the right).

Here's the best one I've found so far:

One almost hopes that they don't take away Trump's Twitter account, since he just keeps giving us so many comedic openings.

Earlier, he talked up the GOP health care proposal, tweeting "Despite what you hear in the press, healthcare is coming along great. We are talking to many groups and it will end in a beautiful picture!"

Well, so far, seemingly the only people who like the plan are Congressional Republicans, who are under pressure to come up with an Obamacare replacement ASAP. No wonder they're trying to ram it through as fast as they can.

But back to Trump. What "beautiful picture" will it most closely resemble?

1. "Sunset on Lamplight Lane" by Thomas Kincade

2. "His Station and Four Aces" by C.M. Coolidge

3. "Convergence" by Jackson Pollock

4. "Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymous Bosch

5. "The Scream" by Edouard Munch

(Wish I could have done a Poll with just the images, but I couldn't figure out how to do it....)
