Hmm, the bruising has mostly cleared up, but she's having quite a bit of pain even with the meds.  She said last night that it was mostly when she moved her arms much, the sides of her ribcage would hurt (as though it were from her implants pushing toward her armpits.)  Keeping up on the massage as best we can, considering the pain.  Her skin seems to be softening noticeably, when she moves certain ways she has nice cleavage, whereas her breasts were fairly immobile on Thursday and Friday.  Still no sign of infection or other irritation of the sutures, just aches when she moves around.

She pushed herself to get showered and out of the house yesterday, so we went on an errand to Wal*Mart. She wasn't very comfortable but she managed it.

I'm beginning to think the bra they provided isn't enough support or compression or something, it's basically just soft lycra with a front closure.  She got a little relief when I wrapped her with an ace bandage over the bra, and ice is helping some too.  She keeps trying to skip doses of her pain meds, which might be adding to the problem as well.

Ice! That's actually a great idea. I think? Might want to check with the doc on that one.

Also find out from the doc whether skipping pain meds is a good idea. It's possible the body might tense up unconsciously in ways which will contribute to the overall aggravation and possibly slow down recovery.

She shouldn't push herself. If she's getting stir crazy, then going out for a walk wouldn't be bad. But she shouldn't be shopping, unless you're the one doing the lifting/pushing. Including her purse.

Short walks. Frequent rest breaks. Stay hydrated. Probably easy on the caffeine. And of course, no booze until the pain meds are done.

If you check with the surgeon's office, they may have recommendations for alternatives. It's all about pain management.

Yup, you got it.  Ice is fine in small doses, keeping it on for too long slows down the circulation too much.  They say 15 minutes at a time.

We were actually just returning a set of chains we got for the trip to Tahoe, so there wasn't any lifting, just a short walk really, no purse.  Even so, the walking was what hurt, moving around seems to cause bouncing, which causes ouch.  :p  Good point about the meds, I'll talk to her about calling the office about that.  It's mostly that she feels comfortable enough that she keeps forgetting she needs them until she wants to move.

She's keeping on top of the fluids, no caffeine, no alcohol or the other things on the list of no-nos we got.  She was taking Arnica Montana sublingual, which the nurse said would be fine, and would help somewhat, but she ran out last night.  Arnica works well for her headaches and is indicated for bruising and aching muscles.  I should get some more on my way home from school tomorrow.

Today has been a bit more painful than necessary; she decided to do without the bra last night and found out why she's supposed to wear it 24/7 while she heals.

We both thank you for keeping an eye on the thread MDF, the insight is very helpful.  I'll remind her to call the office tomorrow to ask about any suggestions.

Here I am again. :)

She got some muscle relaxers on Wednesday, and she's already feeling good enough to think she should wean herself off the meds again. :p  She's gotta drive me and J to school on Tuesday, he gets out before I do and I can't leave him for an hour until I get out.  Anyway, she's feeling much better, though the pain still bothers her when she does too much.  She woke me up this morning with a nice long nursing session, which was spectacular, though she said her nipples were giving her weird pains.

When we got to my mom's, my uncle immediately had to bring up that 'something got bigger'.  XD  She spilled the beans, and everyone seemed okay with it.  My grandmother (the one I thought would be really weird about it) said she would get hers done if she had the cash.  :p  Uncle took me aside later and told me he didn't know why I wanted her to get implants, but they look good on her. :) She was intentionally squicking my mom's BF (oddly enough, Harmony's ex) by suggesting she might want to get them even bigger sometime in the future.  He likes them, but hates the idea of surgery.

They're already looking noticeably better than the first day, and feeling softer.  Nursing was odd, as they're ten times firmer than before.  It's a little like suckling on a beachball or two. ;D  They were very fluffy before, and the difference is astonishing.

Should have some new pics soon.  They're looking even better now, IMO.  Once she can wear a real bra again, she'll have some amazing cleavage.  (Not to mention the potential for a really great tit-bang in a couple months.) She's getting really tired of the spandex bra they sent her home with.  The material seems to irritate her skin, so she's started wearing it over an old t-shirt when she can.

First post-op appointment tomorrow.  She's still having some pain, mostly when she is on her feet too much and hasn't taken her meds.  On the bright side, she can go all day without meds and not be much more than uncomfortable.  The tape over the incisions fell off a couple days ago, on both sides.  The doc said it isn't a problem, and the incisions are mostly just pink lines with a little knot of suture material on the outside, he's supposed to take care of that tomorrow.  Some mederma/vit e/whatever should have them nearly invisible in short order.  Considering how long it usually takes her to heal (bruises take weeks) we have been blown away by how easy it has been.  She's complained about the pain, but she said it's totally worth it.  It helps that I've waited on her hand and foot when I can. :D  She gave me a bit of 'payback' yesterday...she put cocoabutter on my back and gave me a back rub with her boobs.  o.O  That was different, to say the least.

We're keeping up with the cocoa butter and massage.  Her nipples are getting most of their feeling back, though it doesn't take much to reach the 'ouch' threshold.  It's surprising how 'normal' they look, they're perfect for her figure.  We'd both like to see her lose some weight, but she's got a nice plus-hourglass going now that we're both enjoying a lot.

Yesterday was the 16th, so... be sure to take more pics on Dec 7th (3 weeks hence).

So we're about 4 days away from the 7th, but still. Glad to hear things are continuing to improve.

Keep up with your photo journal, and set a calendar reminder for Dec 28th, which will be 6 weeks post. Then compare and contrast the various pics you've taken.

We have a couple more pictures and she wants to take some with her outfits she likes best in the next few days, as I've been busy stressing about finals week.

Everything seems to be going well, except for a nagging 'sunburn' feeling.  A quick search revealed that's EXTREMELY common in the first month, but no sure solutions, just ice and cocoa butter and rest.  We got her a new wire-free bra from Lane Bryant that she likes, and she's able to wear just a t-shirt over them around the house, but she spends a lot of time hanging out in bed topless.  (Lucky me)

She is able to wear a few of her dresses and tops that she thought wouldn't fit, and they look splendiferous.  The incisions are healing up nicely.  She had some stretch marks before the procedure and oddly enough, they're actually less visible now than before, with no new ones.  Very veiny due to her fair skin, I can trace a couple of them from her nipple to beyond her breast.  They're getting very pliable and softening up quite a bit, and the massage is going well, other than the skin feeling sunburnt, she said there's very little pain from massage and it usually feels good.

She was asking yesterday how the doctor would go about it if she decided to go bigger.  She thought that the implants could just be embiggened.  I pointed out that the implants are already fuller than recommended, and that type can't have more fill added after implantation.  Of course, if she decides she wants more at a later time, there may be the option of bigger implants.  The trouble would be finding them.  With any luck, the 'bigger is better' crowd will overcome in the future.  :D

Don't think I knew about that. I'll try to make a mental note and hope it sticks.

I believe Dr Revis in Florida will add to existing saline implants. Could check with his office. I don't know whether Dr Foster has ever done this or would do this, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Either way, could top off up to 1400cc (once things are nice and settled).

Embiggend ?  ??? That's one thing about the BEA I love. We always figure a new way to mangle the english language in order to describe our little fetish. I wonder how long before this word will be in Webster's .... ;) ;D

It's a perfectly cromulent word...  ("cromulent" has also made it into the language now).

I like that word...let's write an example: "may beshine's assets be embiggened"

Yes, they are called neologisms.

Anyway, anxiously awaiting the new pics.
