According to the creators of the show "Married With Children",they were big wrestling fans and they named the two families Bundy and Rhodes after King Kong Bundy and Dusty Rhodes.
They said that because of the nature of the show that people assumed that Bundy came from Ted Bundy but that wasn't the case.This info I got from a E special on the show a few years ago.

I saw that E! special myself, but I always found it a little suspicious, and here's why.
When Fox first launched, they told the world they wanted a groundbreaking new show -- which "Married" was, but it's a cinch that they also wanted it to be a big success -- which "Married" proved to be -- and may even have been willing to do superstitious little things to bolster their luck.
We have all seen a name similar to Al Bundy before. I'm old enough to remember a certain other popular groundbreaking family-oriented show -- in fact, it had "Family" in the title, much like the Fox show's title pretty much spells out a definition of family. That older show? "All in the Family." Now attend:
The patriarch in "All in the Family" -- Archie Bunker.
The patriarch in "Married ... With Children" -- Al Bundy
Both of them conform tightly to the A-- Bun-- range of names. Coincidence? I suspect not.
