I think "View to a Kill" was one of the best, because of Christopher Walkins performance. Much better viilians than blofield.

Idris Elba was on Buzzfeed and stated categorially he would not be the next Bond. And as for a female Bond, after the most recent Ghostbusters disaster, they will have to think about it real hard.

Who do you think could pull off a female Bond? I vote for Hayley Atwell, her fighting style in Agent Carter reminded me of how the original James Bond fought!

I'm sure releasing a Bond movie in the 60th anniversary would definitely increase interest and Box Office takings. Another thing which may delay Bond 26 is that they may need to cast a new Bond (highly likely). It does not look like my favourite for the role (Michale Fassbender) is in the running as current rumours seem to indicate Idris Elba may be being considered.

I don't want Michael Fassbender to be Bond. Could he pull the role off? Yes, I think he's a hugely talented actor and he could pull it off. But I don't want him in the role.

I think this may be a bad move as Idris will be close to 50 when it is released. I am also not sure the producres quite have a handle on the character if they are planning to have Idris in the role, after all a 6 feet 5 very well-built black man does not exactly scream 'inconspicuous spy'

James Bond would walk into any bar and every single bartender knows his favorite drink. Every single bad guy knows who he is and calls him by name. Methinks he was never "inconspicuous" from the beginning. Spycraft was never his strong suit; killing people, though, was :)

It was a pity, because I actually really enjoyed that Ghostbusters movie. Their big mistake however was not that they made it a predominantly female cast, the problem  was that it was a reboot. Had they simply had a passing of the torch movie, where the female Ghostbusters were the daughters of the originals, I think the movie would have done much better.

I agree. When I first heard that they were going to do the film, I thought that they'd go with the "daughters of the original four Ghostbusters" idea too, which would have made more sense.

On that trailer he is driving the same Aston Martin he used in Goldfinger 55 years ago. :) I just saw a great movie with Matt Damon and Christian Bale called " Ford vs Ferrari " in the USA and " Le Mans 66 " in the rest of the world and I remember in one of the scenes there was an Aston Martin racing in it. Didn't last long but those classic lines of the car were unmistakable.  :)

Aston Martin is one of my favorite marques. It's quintessentially British. The lines of the Vanquish bring the old-school Goldfinger-era vehicle bang up to date. Lovely cars, both of them.

So, just a couple of months till 'No Time To Die' hits cinema screens, will it make a billion worldwide? I'm not so sure, although it is Daniel Craig's last outing so maybe.

Billie Eilish's theme has dropped, i'm not really a fan of it. Feels too similar to The World is Not Enough.

I'm not optimistic about its chances of getting to a billion dollar box office but I could be wrong.

Going to track down the Billie Eilish theme.

Just finished listening to "No Time to Die". It's a wee bit too subtle and understated in my opinion. It may grow on me with time...but I doubt it.

My ranking of the five Daniel Craig Bond themes:

#1 "You Know My Name" (the late Chris Cornell, 2006's Casino Royale)
#2 "Skyfall" (Adele, 2012)
#2 "Spectre" (Sam Smith, 2015)
#4 "Another Way to Die" (Jack White and Alicia Keys, 2008's Quantum of Solace)
#5 "No Time to Die" (Billie Eilish, 2020)

Two bits of Bond news:

No Time To Die's release date has been pushed for April 2 to Thanksgiving week, Nov. 25, 2020.

Veteran James Bond and Superman stuntman Rocky Taylor has been battling coronavirus for the past few weeks, but is getting better.

Honor Blackman, who played Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, and who was the original colleague of John Steed in The Avengers until another eventual Bond Girl (Diana Rigg) took over, has died. She was 94.
