We all have opinions, and Linda Boreman would have whatever opinion would get her what she wanted at that moment. She and her pimp/husband, Chuck Traynor, were about as close to total flakes as you could get. This particular movie, as contrasted with the last one, is based entirely on what she said at various times that make the point the director wants to make (anti-porn), leaving out the occasions when she swore that the exact opposite was true.
"Deep Throat" really was a big deal. On a cost/gross basis, no movie has come close. It was also organized crime's last major effort to dominate the porn business. In terms of production values, it shows its early '70s origins, but there are worse movies being made as we speak.
How serious and/or accurate is this movie? Imagine Amy Winehouse. Now imagine somebody three or four times as flaky and self-destructive. This is the story she would tell you if you hated porn and you wanted to believe that any girl would have to be forced to take off her clothes for a camera.
