I've noticed the first three photographs of this thread show Ron in the late 70's, early 80's, next one in the late 80's and with Whitney Wonders in the 90's and the enormous amount of weight he gained. As hetero men are the primary consumers of straight porn, it stands to reason that male viewers don't care/aren't put off by Ron's "decline" (to paraphrase you). It's even quite possible that they prefer to see a tubby/shlubby guy pummeling and pounding every available hole on his usually-splendid-looking partners, rather than some GQ covermodel wannabe with whom they can't identify, let alone compete.

Personally, I don't really much care what the guy in a porn vid looks like, other than him being well endowed, since that makes for better visuals in/on the female co-star. In that respect, Ron's very well qualified. And btw, plenty of fans were into Fat Elvis.
