Actually, **31** is only legal in counties with less than 400,000 people per Nevada state law. That means that Clark county ( Las Vegas ) and Washoe county ( Reno ) **31** is not legal. The other counties, such as Nye or Lincoln next to Clark county, it is legal if the residents of that county allow it. It is seen as a economic developmental tool that each county, where the state allows it, can use to keep unemployment down for example. If it was up to me, I would legalize it everywhere  in the state and tax it like any other industry. We need cops investigating murder cases, not what consenting adults do in the sack. My $0.02.

Progressive ? Please don't insult me like that. The Progressives are the ones pushing for accusers in college campuses to be able to destroy others without due process in a court of law just by yelling rap3. Anyone remember the Duke Lacrosse fiasco of 2006 for example ? How about mattress girl in Columbia University. And European ? God, no. It may be legal but they regulate and tax it so much that a lot of it goes underground to avoid the onerous " freedom ". I'm a Libertarian. Leave me the fuck alone and I don't want your welfare state getting into MY private business. Progressives are no friends of Liberty.

But like it or not, your earlier viewpoint fits right in with the evolved regulatory policies of both the Dutch and the Swiss. I guess legalized **31** makes for strange bedfellows in more ways than one!

Spector and Bob: it seems ok to me (proxy displays fine and link works) so maybe clear your browser cache and reload the page... maybe your copy of the proxy image got corrupted somehow. I don't see any problem, neither in the thumb displayed in the poll nor in the link to the full-sized image.  Of course, it is an unusually large file, 1946 KB, so it takes a little time to load.  perhaps all one has to do is be patient.  Another possibility is just go to the original post as contest entry, near the top of page 2 of this thread.  Or perhaps just click on the following (and once again, be patient).  Also, note that once you get the image, clicking on it again will give you the enormous full-sized image
