Mardi Gras MERGED
« on: February 18, 2004, 03:16:36 PM »
Fellas,

I'm riding in Mardi Gras Krewe tomorrow night...will definately keep my eyes and camera out for any flashers worth our while.  Any requests, besides the obvious?  It's amazing what a pair of $.10 beads can get you during the Carnival season.

Anyone know of any free sites for any Mardi Gras sightings?

Jizz,

You're more than welcome to Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler here in the Big Easy!

Actually didn't see much tonight - had the Sony DSC-F707 with me too.  Guess the tourists didn't roll in yet - Friday night will be another story, however.  <fingers crossed>

Will keep y'all updated!

Duke-

Which krewe?  which side?  which float?  K & I will be on St. Charles and will holler for you - PM me with details if need be.

Jizz, it is a holiday here on the Gulf Coast.  My [censored] are out of school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and we close up shop on Monday at noon and don't come back to work until Wednesday Morning!  Ain't Life GRAND!!!  Going to the Kinski ball Friday night followed by our parade on Saturday!

man... we get shafted for everything...

even Presidents Day we had school as usual... we get "holidays" like Cesar Chavez day off... which they conveniently clumped into spring break...

oh well, it's not like anything really happens in this area anyway...

Our big Mardi Gras bash is March 6th, here in the City...we'll post pictures of course...lol...this is a big transition year for us...so we are cutting back seriously on our traveling... we are staying local....we'd Looooove to go to Key West though....maybe next year...if this "transition" works out. New Orleans is definately going to be a stop for us in the near future....we hear Jazz Week is wild....and you can actually WALK down Bourbon street...lol. Whoever is going...you *have* to provide us with details....let us know what we are missing...lol

Mardi Gras after Fat Tuesday?  THE HORROR!!!

Jazz-fest is not as nice as it used to be (got too commercialized) though it still rocks!

When you guys get ready to make reservations, give me a PM and I'll give you some suggestions for both great motels like the Royal Sonnesta or B&B's aplenty.

Make sure you start looking about 5-6 months in advanced unless you want to stay in Mobile, AL or Lake Charles, LA!  Good places in N.O. Fill up quickly!

With the beginning of Carnival - aka: Mardi Gras - anyone in the area should be scouring the area for some of the more 'well endowed' lady visitors.  If I see any, I'll be sure to post some pix.

Ahhh...tourists on Bourbon Street.  As a kid growing up in Mid City, I always looked forward to the pre-Lentan celebration.

Only a tourist would drink a Hand Grenade...  Looks as though they are about mid way between the Cat's Meow and Razoo's.
