Rackonteur's Image Thread
« on: February 07, 2008, 07:45:24 AM »
BEA Members with long memories and short-sightedness may remember me and the two-handfulls of morphs I did back in the day. If my screen-name rings a bell, hey, how have you been?

This is the thread where I will post whatever I have created, because, dammit, Jim, I want more exposure! I don't think I'm a narcissist, but I do find it fun to turn these things out, but without feedback, one wonders what the point is, sometimes. And if one doesn't, well, then, I do.

Lately, I've been making a few faux magazine covers. They probably descend from an idea I had for a site on the BEA, back when I found the BEA in the Jurassic Period (a kind of BEA World concept).

If I can find any of my old morphs, I may add some of them, too. For the younger members, they'd make great examples of how primitive digital morphs were in the 1950's, done as they were using razor blades, yes paste, old national geographics and zip-a-tone.

Okay, enough ramble. Here's my latest cover for the one and only Bambi Blaze. I had done one on Living for her, back when BambiCorp was a thing around here (2004?). Three years later I did a new one for her, and have managed to do a new one each month since. It's almost like a subscription to an amazing array of magazines that don't exist, but a small part of you wishes they did....

(I should also point out that I have Bambi's permission to post these here.)

This one came out in January, before the Men's Health issue. Your wives and girlfriends (and those ladies that kindly grace the forum with their presence) have probably already seen it....

I found that part funny too

One bit of feedback: the size of the font used to write "COSMOPOLITAN" is slightly off. Other than that, good job. Suggestion for a new cover: Minka on Stuff
AOC, HC, TW, BO, KH: FU. FUATH. 100x.

Bambi turns me on and Rackonteur cracks me up.  I've just added this thread to my 'favorites'.

I guess I should get around to adding some new stuff then...!

I have been making more covers, but on a site I'm not supposed to mention. I don't think I can cross post them, without jumping through lots of hoops.

Can anyone recommend any models that are on this site, that you think would like the Rackonteur treatment? (Cruk, I almost typed my name at the other place... gotta watch that!)

Anyone?

Can anybody find my old morphs for me?

I put them into the User Gallery ages and ages ago... I can't now find them amidst my hard drive or anything external... I have lost them.

The titles, IIRC, all started with RE-0##, and that may have been it, or that may have been followed by something more descriptive...

I'm pretty sure that's how they started out though... I think there were about 30 of them maybe?

Any help would be appreciated... They belong in this thread.

Let it not be said that I'm too hasty about anything...  :P

I'm going to start posting some rescued morphs of mine from back in the day.

Here's the first one -- perhaps the first morph I ever did...

Sure there are some obvious flaws in style, but I think I got better over time. And so did my morphs, for that matter.

I'll be darned if I know who this is. Well, let's face it, I'm probably darned anyway.

And -- wow -- I remember when a 500 pixel high image seemed like a waste of space! 300 worked just fine...

I appreciate and enjoy seeing as much of your early (and not so early) work as you feel like sharing rackonteur! :) I'm not the least bit bothered by lower-resolution images, or even by signs of evolving technique on the part of the artist... neither keeps a great morph from being a great morph IMO.

Did you not sign your early work, either on the pic itself or with a filename extension? I see the 're' or 'RE' ...is that the sum total of your sig? Just curious.

"RE" and a number is how I named the morph pictures. Eventually, I came up with a logo -- but I'm a bit mixed on logos. One, they immediately tell you "this is faked" which I'd rather figure out only if I need to, and not worry about when I don't need to... Two, they give you a clue how you might find more work from someone, if you like the work you're looking at. And C, in a rule that's inversely proportional to the morphs themselves, smaller is better.  ;D

Now, I've completely forgotten what "RE" is supposed to mean, as an identifier. I'm fairly sure the "R" is for Rackonteur -- but what the "E" stood for, I'm not sure ("expansions"?, "experiments"?, "eggplants"?, "existentialism"?). When I begin morphing again, I may well pick up the numbering from where I left off, but name the files "Rack-(model name/subject)-###.jpg" or perhaps "Rackonteur-(model name/subject)-###.jpg". I may also design a new, unobtrusive logo/makers mark.

And you may notice that this picture of Jenna Jameson is 004, not 003. Morph 003 is missing from the archives. If anyone out there might still have 003, please post it in this thread, when you get the chance. Thank you.

Pandora Peaks makes her first appearance. And what an appearance it is...

I'm not sure what it is about her, but I almost feel like I am physically drawn toward her somehow, as if she's got her own gravitational pull, or something. Odd (but interesting).
