When I get involved in the mainstream industry, I plan to involve buxom girls in some capacity in almost everything I do.

Perhaps a cable show might be the best outlet....maybe the host of a "dating" show...or something else light hearted....where an audience could "get to know" the hostess whole she gets to show her personality and talent (kind of like Jenny Macarthy did). Having met alot of women in this business....we can honestly say that there are definately some that posses the qualities it takes to "break in"...the trick will be to find the right venue...

Now before we go saying that IT CAN'T BE DONE...lets look at some of the other campy-kind of off beat- stuff thats out there. Tom Green...Howard Stern...The Man Show...would it really be such a reach for a cable show (like America's funniest home video's) with an adult angle to have a feature entertainer as it's co-host?....We don't think so...

It will have to take more than big boobs...but like we said...we definately know girls with enough talent and personality. The next question is...does the management that the girls in the industry now have represent them attempt to do anything other than book them in a club??...

Unfortunately...the answer is probably not. When HBO...or whomever out there decides that it can make them money...then the doors will open.

We can definately see Crystal Gunns hosting MTV's Beach Party...or Nikki Knockers Hosting an adult candid camera.(man she is hysterical)...

There was a time when women couldn't be doctors....let's stop all the negative B.S. about it never being accepted...IT HAS NEVER BEEN TRIED!!!!!! It won't be easy...but then again...nothing worth while ever is.

D&J (at last I'm a fellow F cup, if only by emergency default): excellent idea.  Why not a talk show?  There's already some thing on with Jillian Barberie, but this would be more general issues, yet stay light.  We could use a NONREPENTANT JENNY JONES, a woman who doesn't get herself reduced and then play the tease-with-then-disassociate-from game with busty guests.  This could be the antidote to Oprah!

I worry that if busty women continue to be relegated to the lightweight game shows and talk shows and MTV college-break-'hoop-and-holler programs, they'll continue to be thought of as lightweight T&A ditzes who can't do anything but bounce and giggle.  While any T&A is better than none, I think the key is casting women who happen to be really busty in good roles in TV and movies.  There are people of all shapes and sizes and types who act (I know, I've seen 'em), so there HAVE to be busty women who can act, thousands more than just the ones I know personally.  I think if someone finds and--key phrase here--isn't AFRAID of a big-breasted woman who can is not just adept at comedy, but can do drama too and has serious TALENT, then we'd be making some kind of progress.  And Hollywood, being the trend-seeking town it is, would then seek out a bumper-crop of carbon-copies...of course not all of them would be as good (remember all those "Friends" clones several years back?), but there'd be a few.  And a few is more than we have now.

The reason that you will never see a truely busty woman in the main stream is as follows. But first a fast example to make this easier to explain.

Ants. They get food. They build nests. The procreate. They protect themselves.

Sound simplistic but then again it is. And in fact right at the base of the human condition this is what we do too.

So then. if you can accpet this and I hope you can cause it is a fact then we can move on.

The part that stops the mainstreaming is the procreation part. In the main the most obviously visible part of a woman, especially from a distance, is the bust. Therefore early identification of a potential mate is a big plus at the base level. This being that case busty women are seen to be very dangerous rivals to non busty women in the main. This being the case a busty woman in the mainstream entertainment area seen by lots of peeps would be an even huger potential threat. Now I am not saying that all this is conscious thought. But it is there. So. If the potential threat exists then there is antagonism. Antagonism manifests itself as not watching the program which means rating are down which means the advertising dollar dries up which mean no profit which means not good business idea. And voila we have no job.

It works in a similar way with good looking guys with great buns and bods too.

Now I know that peeps should not be shallow but it is hard to fight 100,000's of years of evolution after all. Big breasts also tend to indicate fitness which indicates health which in turn indicates a greater degree of being able to procreate. Hence why a lot of peeps look for good looking partners cause in the main they are considered to be fitter thusly healthier thusly better able to procreate.

I mean it takes a lot to stop a woman from following the nesting and family making drives. And that is as it should be too cause that is the natural process. Heavan help us if it did not exist.

So in essence you can try to fight hard coded instinctive processed but you will never win. The best you can do is keep them at bay.

And i did not just think all this stuff up either. The way I work is as say for example a large cauldron. Life keeps tossing stuff in and it mixes around and at times things combine and recombine and float to the surface and voila yet another theory or idea or what-have-you.

That's real Russ Meyer territory LOL...I'd like to venture there one day...I've never seen one, but from what I know, I think they're ripe for parody.

It always hurts me so, when I think of those stars getting breast reductions...
Punky,& Drew I wish they would of come, and talked with me first.

At least Pam looks to be back in a big way.  Whew, it was scary for awhile there.

I'm miss Dolly, in her old plump "bigger" days.

But, now Anna has gotten so big that her boobs don't look that big on her anymore.

I've always thought that the lead actress in the "rocketeer" had some very nice full breasts.
Then I saw her in "Mullhullen Falls", and WOW, I watch that movie just to see her tits!!! In one scene she's got this dress, that just makes her boobs... Bam!! out there. Much bigger than she was in the Rocketeer.

But sadly I've seen her in her last two or three movies.... & nothing... I'm afraid that she must have gone the way of Punky, & Drew, & the little girl from "the Addams family".

I'm sorry, I'm bad with names.

You're thinking about Jennifer Connelly. And, I agree, she was wonderful in "The Rocketeer" and "Mullholland Falls."
She might be getting back into shape though, she's pregnant and due in August. Hopefully she'll fill out again. (I don't think she ever had a breast reduction, just lost way too much weight after her first baby.)

I think Jaytas has the right slant on the INTIMIDATION of the female actress power base. The REAL QUESTION - Could an film that features extreme figured women be financial success...even more so, a franchise opportunity ? RUSS MEYER made a financially successful franchise out of extreme figured women in the '70's. Could it be done TODAY domestically and internationallly ? Big Bust mags ala SCORE, GENT, BUSTY BEATUTIES, etc. seem to have a readership/following that makes for a successful business.
This past year I saw a film called DOUBLE D AVENGER that featured in the lead roles the old Russ Meyer models like KITTEN NAVITAD and RAVEN DE LECROIX. I understand from a friend who knows the Producer/Director that it was a financial success playing off the old Meyer fans and cult niche market. The film was fun to watch, but the ladies who starred are WAY PAST there prime and there were no NEW FACES & FIGURES to make you want to see the next film like Meyers did. Nostalgia only goes so far. So, what does the BEA think...is there a market for the MEYER GENRE REVIVAL ?

That depends on your tastes, I suppose.  For guilt-free pseudo-porno viewing, Sidaris' films are great.  But I will say they have visual impact only.  I mean, to be honest, they are better seen with the sound off.

For whatever people think of Russ Meyer, his films are not only technically superb, they are entertaining as stories.  Many of them, anyway,  There are always exceptions.  Lorna is a darned good movie.  So is Faster Pussycat! Kill!  Kill!  And Mudhoney, Cherry, Harry & Raquel and Supervixens all have merit.  Meyer's films usually featured some genuinely fine actors (Charles Napier, Hal Hopper, Alex Rocco, Stu Lancaster and many others), even if they were portraying rogue characters. And the female leads were never bimbos.  They were sexy as hell, but never degraded.  As a viewer, I like these types of movies.  The cleavage is nice, but it isn't what the story is about.

When I originally posted this topic, I didn't mean to suggest that I wanted to see more gratuitous skin on TV or on the movie screen.  What I meant was, why can't a talented woman be a mainstream actress if she has a big bosom?  That's kind of dumb, isn't it?  I think many of the ladies who frequent the board here have demonstrated that wit and intelligence are not incompatible with having sexy figures.

So I'd answer your question this way: "we need more Meyers", directors who can craft films that 1) don't insult women; 2) don't use nudity in a gratuitous and nonsensical fashion; and 3) realize that acting ability isn't inversely proportional to bra size.
