I remember when I was young keeping up with US Space program. Alan Shepard, a Navy guy like me, was the first American in Space in the Mercury One capsule, he was also a Gemini program crew member and Apollo 14 commander and first golfer on the Moon.  ;D

Soviet N1 mock-up.

SpaceX’ Superheavy has more engines than this puppy.  The big difference is that Superheavy has modern day computers to handle them.

How did it take this selfie?  I don’t see a boom running from the image back to the rover.

Starliner has finally—apparently—successfully (mostly) completed its first unmanned test mission.  About time.

It was from another detachable instrument working in conjunction with the rover. Or at least that is what it said in the source.

Starship prototypes are still being built at Boca Chica.  In fact, I believe Starship 24 is on its way out to the launch pad for some more tests in anticipation of the ERA’s green light on Tuesday for future launches.

TUESDAY UPDATE: The ERA has put off their Announcement for two more weeks.

Atlas Rocket. First flown in 1957 as an ICBM, it was also used by NASA for the Mercury and Gemini manned launch programs. It is still used to launch payloads such as satellites and it was originally built by Convair which later on was absorbed by General Dynamics.
